Chapter 23

Tessa POV:
I don't know where I was driving, I was just driving
I went around the block a couple of times. I was just driving around la not knowing what I was doing
I parked beside a Starbucks and ordered a frappe
I sat down and thought
I wasn't thinking of anything specific, I was just thinking
My order was ready and then I picked it up and went to the park
The park brought back many memories
It was the place that Jake and I would go to 'relax' but in this case it was to get away from him
I stayed there for a couple of hours
Watching couples walk past, seeing kids having the time of their lives and parents on calls or talking to other parents
I left my phone at home deliberately so that nobody can call me
I heard my name in the distance
It was chance and Anthony
They came up to me and hugged me
I cried my heart out
Tessa: *sniffling* um where is Erika and ayla?
Anthony: We told them that we were gonna go look for you
Chance: it's getting sorta dark, let's head home.
Tessa: is Jake at home?
Anthony nodded his head
Tessa: i don't wanna go
Chance: Lets do this. You, Chloe, Erika and ayla sleep in our room because it has two big beds and then Logan, Anthony and I will sleep in the guest room
Tessa: Thanks guys. I wouldn't have been able to sleep in Jake and I's room anyway because Amanda would be there
Tessa: but one question, why did you pick me over Jake?
Anthony: because what he did was wrong, he knew that too
I hugged both of them and then we went home
