she continued to stare at it, her fingers going unnoticed as she dug slightly at the towel.

she sat the towel down and walked back out, every step getting heavier as if she was sinking.
she looked at ryan, how he dried his hair so contently, fingers laced in the towel

she looks at him again, she's now sitting next to him.
she felt his warm, soft finger pads against her shoulder and when she went to look at him, he wasn't smiling.

he was worried.
she opened her mouth to speak, closing it as soon as she did so.
she sighed softly, removing his hand and placing it in her own.
she leaned back, taking in another heave.
