Sonny ran out of energy one hour into the night. Bean managed three. My little Sweetie stayed awake with me the whole night though. I read him stories and hummed songs to him. I needed it myself to stay awake. I could have sworn that when I told him stories about the new recruits we were going to get, he would smile.
The next set of experiments would be how titans registered pain. My poor Bean was in so much pain, I couldn't help but scream. On the other hand Sonny didn't seem to care at all. Last up was Sweetie. When I stabbed him in his chest all he did was groan. The more he was wounded the louder it got.
Then I stabbed him in the eye. He yelled out in pain and started to cry. Most of my comrades started to cry to, as did I. A few begged me to stop. Some had to leave because they didn't want to feel sorry for a titan. When I was done he whimpered and lowered his head. A few more tears dripped down and he looked back at me. My heart broke and I walked up to him. I wiped away his tears while Moblit begged me to get back. I know this titan won't hurt me, he hasn't and never will.
