Janna
Jon knocked at my door. I let him in.
“I apologized for your doing” He said.
“Thanks.” I replied still lying down on my bed.
“But It would be better if you will personally say sorry” he replied back.
Well, he has a point. I think it would be better if I apologize to her.
“Fine”
“That’s the spirit sis!” Jon said with his eyes sparkling and his charming-wide smile showing off his dimples. I feel kinda jealous with that. I’m wasn’t blessed to have dimples.
We hugged each other and then I jumped out of the bed and hurriedly went downstairs.
~at the kitchen~
I reached the kitchen and caught my mom drinking wine. Its her hubby anyway. I tip-toed behind her. I was actually planning on hugging her at the back but she caught me.
“Go” she said
I was afraid she meant that I should leave her alone but she spoke once more. “Spill it.”
Okay Janna, here it goes.
“Mom, I’m really sorry for my attitude towards you earlier. Its just that , I can’t really handle those stuffs anymore. You know I’ve grew a lazy kid. Besides all that, I’m also sorry for shouting at you. I shouldn’t have done that.” I explained full of sincerity and hope that she’ll forgive me.
“come here.” She calmly said.
I shyly walk infront of her and the next thing I knew was we were hugging each other. I felt relieved because I know she have already forgived me.
“That’s why I asked you to wash them, so that you won’t carry that kind of attitude until you have your own family. Anyways, just don’t do that again, promise me.”
I can’t promise her, I don’t even know how to control this attitude. And I’m not really into making promises. Instead of replying her, I just hugged her back tightly.
“I’m just curious mom, why aren’t you hiring maids, I mean, we can pay their salary”
She let out a big sigh.
“Its because people today aren’t trustworthy” She thought.
“but why the butlers and all?” I asked still curious and at the same time took a sit in front of her.
“Their your dad’s butlers since he was a kid. He treats them as part of the family. We can trust them.” She replied.
“so why don’t you hire maids? We don’t know people. We can’t easily judge them by their cover. Mom please, hire atleast 2 maids for me? I begged while doing those puppy eyes. Please work… Please work… Please work
“Fine. But if something goes wrong like, if they steal things from this house or not follow your commands, then I won’t be having any second thoughts of kicking them out and I won’t hire again” She said
“Yey! Thanks mom! I owe that one to you.” I kissed her cheek then sprinted upstairs to where I left my brother.
“Good” he said.
“Yeah” I replied still wearing that smile I got a while ago.
