Damiana and I's conversation ended minutes after she arrived at her house and found that there were no suspicious cars and that her whole family was fine.
I was relieved, but angry at the same time. I was relieved that Damiana and her family were not in any danger, but I was pissed because who the hell pulls a prank like that. It's sick.
After taking a glance out the window I realised that I should probably get started on my routine for another night home alone. This routine consisted of me locking all doors; watching tv and eating; making sure the windows were shut and locked; reading; checking closets and under my bed, because i'm still five; and finally, turning all the lights off except for a couple lamps.
I was still shaken up by the events of the day for several hours before calm took over me and I was able to rest easy with the fact that Damiana was safe and sound on my mind.

I was awoken with a start. I didn't know why I was awake so suddenly but I turned over and looked at my clock which read 5:32 a.m.
I already knew that I wasn't going to be able to go back to sleep so I decided to get a very early start to my Thursday. I hopped out of bed and threw on some sweatpants to cover my legs but left my top half as it was with just my bra.
I opened up my blinds and saw that light was just beginning to appear in the sky. I could already tell that the sun rise was going to be beautiful by the red and purple coloring of the sky in the east.
I went downstairs and made myself some toast and tea for breakfast and began to walk out to my living room to watch some tv. I was so focused on not dropping my tea and plate that I didn't notice the stranger sitting on my couch ten feet in front of me until he spoke up.
"Mind sharing, polpetta?"
My head snapped up and I gaped at the large man in a black suit, with dark hair slicked back, and a threatening smile on his face.
I began to feel very small as he stood up and took a step towards me. People would comment on how tall I was standing at 5"9 but he was towering over me with a frame of at least 6"2 and had a muscular build. I was so scared that I dropped my hot tea and plate which both did not break somehow.
"W-Who are you?" I asked.
"My name is Scorticcini Mateo Giovanni Luca-Abruzzese. But you can call me Giovanni, patatina," he replied with a smirk.
What kind of name is Scorticcini? was the first thing that came to my mom. But I decided it would not be the smartest decision to anger the big man.
I also decided that I will call him Jimmy. Because he looks like a Jimmy.
"No offense but I could really care less about what your name is-"
"None taken"
"What I'd like to know is what you want from me?"
"To keep it short, I have your family hostage and know exactly where your little friend is located. So I'm going to ask you to come with me and do what I say so I don't have to harm them," he replied.
"If all this is true, then you wouldn't mind if I called my mom to see if she answers?" I said, attempting to outsmart him as I took small steps away from him.
"Do whatever you'd like, patatina,"
His response was surprisingly confident which caused, even more, anxiety to brew in my stomach.
Nevertheless, I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and called my mother. My worry increased when my phone went to voice mail because my mom has always answered my calls during the vacation.
"Are you happy now?" Jimmy asked.
As I put my phone back in my pocket, I realized that I was the dumbest person ever and that I could've called the police instead of my mother.
"So what happens if I don't go with you?" I asked Jimmy.
"Your family will be in danger," he replied. "They could be tortured and murdered. Then you would be left orphaned. And without your best friend to console you either."
My eyes widened and I gulped, realizing that I would have no other choice than to go with this man if I ever wanted to see my family again.
