Chapter 1.

My Story

"I'm Haley Andrews, and this is my story," I said into the microphone on set of the new tv show 'My Story'. 'My Story' is a show where people that have been abused, share what happened to them. "It all started when I was eight. A few months after my birthday my parents got divorced. After the divorce was final, my mom got to see me during the week, and my dad got to see me during the weekends. Whenever I would go to my dad's house, I would always be nervous and scared to enter, thinking, what is he going to make me do this time? My dad would abuse me, and make me do things that I was underage for, that I knew wasn't right at all. And every Sunday afternoon, before my mom picked me up to go back to our house, he would threaten me to not tell anyone about what he was doing," I said. Shortly I spoke again saying, "A couple years after their divorce, my mom committed suicide, leaving me all to my dad. I then moved into my dad's house, and was now going into 5th grade, which meant middle school for our district. Of course, I had to move schools since my dad lived so far away. The middle school I would be going to was called Emery Middle School, EMS for short. Going into EMS I had absolutely no friends. My old best friend Skyler, also moved away that year, but to a completely different state, so... yeah I had absolutely no friends. Skyler used to help me through everything, if one weekend my dad would make me do drugs, on Monday she would bring me flowers at school and help me get through it. Now I had no one to cheer me up, or to talk to." "When I was 13, my dad told me that he was going to his friends house for the night, and he would be back in the morning. Well, he never returned, I waited hours, days, weeks, until I realized he wasn't coming back. I was on my own from then on, and I continued raising myself
