I Am a Woman.

I have things about me that are unprecedented to the human eye

I Am a Woman.

I have somewhat of a figure that you might not think is attractive, but I feel just fine about

I Am a Woman.

I am the heart of the community, the backbone of a family and the politician of my heart

I Am a Woman.

And though sometimes I am emotional and my mood varies like the wind blows, that doesn’t give you the right to deem me uncontrollable

I Am a Muslim Woman.

I cover myself because my body is sacred and I know that my beauty is special, however I am struggling, as we are and I would appreciate it if you wouldn’t attack me and question my faith just because you think my jeans are too tight

I Am a Woman.

And yes that means I may be a mother and a wife, please believe that my life doesn’t surround the wants and needs of a man

I don’t wear makeup to attract your attention

I don’t wear nice clothes because I want you to stare

I am Independent, I am Strong and if you come at me wrong, you might just find out

I put up a wall around my heart because I’m scared of it breaking

And sometimes I don’t speak my mind because I don’t want yours to be blown

I promote peace not oppression

I Am a Woman, but I am also human

So please treat me as such
