Pick wouldn't call himself the type to back out. If at all, he was the type to just go through with the first thing he thought of. But today was different. As the alarm rang, he thought twice whether or not he should get up.
What would he do the moment he faced Rome? Was he going to act like nothing had happened? Would things pick up where they left off? We'll, the way it was left off wasn't exactly the best circumstances either. Reminding himself that he wasn't a coward, Pick grunted and got up.

Rome looked at himself at the mirror, checking his appearance before heading out of the house. He knew that he was running late. For the past month, he struggled getting to school on time. Usually Pick would be loudly honking the horn, parked across his house, screaming for Rome to get going. Now he had to take a cab to school or ask Emma.
"Pick..." Rome thought. He missed Pick a lot. He knew that he had to stop hoping though. Seeing him with that girl and avoiding all his calls, Pick had made it clear that they were hopeless. That Rome had probably just confused him with all his sweet words and clinginess.
Pick had his good points and bad points. He did the little things without being asked to, like sending him home after class and taking him out for meals. Then again, what kind of friend wouldn't. Even Emma did that for him at time.
Rome sighed and checked himself one last time before heading out and grabbing a cab.

Emma was freaking out. As she drove to school, she gripped her steering wheel tightly. She had woken up early to contact Rome but he didn't answer. She knew Rome too well. He wouldn't know how to react.
As she found her way to the parking lot, she hurriedly parked her car and set off to class hoping that Rome was already there. As she sat down, she continued to fidget. Rome was late. How would she get to talk to Rome now?
A few moments later, the professor has arrived. Rome was behind her. He hurriedly sat in front of Emma. She stared at Rome, motioning for him to check his phone. As the lecture started, Rome looked at his phone seeing the missed calls and texts from late last night to early morning.
(Text conversation)
What is it? I didn't notice that you called.
Rome... I have to tell you something but promise me you won't freak out?
I promise. What is it? You're making me nervous.
P'Porsche is back in Bangkok...
Ai? What now? Has he tried to contact you?
Yes, we're meeting after class but that's not what I have to tell you.
What is it then??
Emma hesitated before sending the text but she knew that she had to tell Rome.
P'Pick is back too
The moment Rome read the text, Emma saw how his face turned blank.
Emma, tell me you're joking...
I'm not. P'Porsche called me last night. They came back together yesterday.
Rome turned around to face Emma. His eyes were wide and Emma could barely tell what kind of expression he was making. Whether it was shock, happiness or worry, she couldn't tell.
Rome on the other hand was freaking out. Having not spoken to Pick for more than a month, he wasn't sure how to approach the senior if ever he saw him. Pick had left the day after he saw him and Rin. Any attempt he made to contact the senior had fallen on deaf ears. All his calls were brushed aside.
