Before the war...
-Sun's PoV-
It was a normal day. I never knew something terrible would happen to me.
I was in my room, reading a book on lunar eclipses. They are surely fascinating experiences. The two stars I ordered were floating outside, one of them almost ready to generate. I knew what I was going to name her, Galaxy. The other star, however, was only about half-way completed. I would have to wait another year for her to come. If you are confused, the way we obtain children are by buying a special kind stars from the store. They are sort of gems that get embedded in their chest. Everyone has one.
Except if you're from G8.
My friend, Shadow, from G8, and has a black star, but it got cut off after he turned 18. I'm 1629 years old, and I still have my sparkling blue star on my chest.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm a goddess, the only goddess of planet G9. I work for King Jupiter. It's sometimes hard, but it's great to see the smiling face of the king after my work is done everyday. Queen Moon from G8 is always grateful to meet our friends, and sometimes sends her subjects to visit us. She has a moon symbol on her forehead. It's fun meeting her sometimes, too.
Suddenly, a knock came to my front door.
Who could that be? I wondered, walking towards it. To my surprise, there was Shadow, standing in front of me.
"H-Hello, Your Majesty," he stammered, bowing.
Even though, I'm not royalty, I still like being called 'Your Majesty' by the people of G9.
"Just Sun would be fine, Shadow. You're not from my planet," I told him.
"Y-Yes, Sun. May I come in?" he asked.
"Why not?" I answered him, moving out of the way. He walked inside, wearing a dark cloak. He looked somewhat... nervous.
"What's the occasion? Is there something from G8 that you are hiding from?" I asked.
"No... I was sent by a group of people named, 'The Secret Twists in Space' You know, the ones that dislike you. They heard that we were great friends and thought maybe I could be the right one for the job. Also, apart from that, your first star is almost ready. What are you going to call it?" he interrogated.
"Galaxy, and what... job?" I answered only by asking another question.
"...They said if I don't kill you, they'll kill me," he responded, dipping his head.
I staggered back. Was he betraying my planet, only for his life? Well, it was understandable, but I was the only goddess of this planet. How could he have to do this? "You do realize that this is considered treason, and you'll maybe start a war for the effect of this?" I demanded, trying not to sound shaky.
"I know, but don't worry, she's going to be the next goddess," he looked up at Galaxy, smiling.
I tried to stop shaking but I couldn't I stepped back a bit, then turned around to run, but I tripped and fell. I could feel the cold steel blade on my neck. I was so terrified. My life was going to end.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of her for you, Your Majesty."
