Toby's pov

I can't believe that -A would go to the extent of kidnapping all of the girls, I mean that's just crazy. I'm so happy we've found them though, I've been worried sick about Spencer. I was so worried I would never get her back.

I haven't seen her since she was taken into hospital. The girls didn't seem injured, but just to be sure they were all taken to Rosewood hospital to make sure they were alright. I tried to visit yesterday after I got off work but the nurses and doctors said it was only immidiate family right now, and I could come back tomorrow.

So that's where I am today. I've been at work this morning but now I'm on my lunch break so I'm going to visit Spencer in the hospital. I can't wait to see her beautiful face again, properly this time.

I open the doors to the hospital waiting room with two cups of coffee and a bouquet of flowers for Spencer.

"Hi there I'm here to visit Spencer Hastings" I tell the nurse that's running the desk in the waiting room.

"What's your name?" she asks me.

"Toby Cavanaugh" I reply. She types it into the computer, probably just for visitor records.

"ok, miss Hastings is in room 122" the nurse says. I thank her and then try and find her room. it's on the next floor up, but I eventually find it.

I look into the door and see Veronica and Peter sitting on the edge of Spencer's bed. They're talking. Spencer looks serious, but She laughs quickly at something her mom says.

I knock quickly on the door and all 3 of them look at me. Spencer's serious face melts into a loving smile and I can't process how beautiful she is. Like how did I end up with her, she's stunning.

"Toby, hi there" Peter says coming to shake my hand. Veronica follows.

"thank you so much for being here Toby" Veronica says.

"It's no problem Mrs Hastings" I tell her.

"It's great you're here to see her but she's a bit shaken up right now, it's probably best if you leave the subject of the kidnapping out for now" Peter says quietly so Spencer can't hear.

"I understand. I'm so glad she's safe" I say.

"we are too. we should probably get some lunch, we'll leave you two alone" veronica says.

"bye mom, bye dad" Spencer says as her parents wave to her and leave the room.

I walk towards the hospital bed, smiling. I'm just so happy to see her safe and sound.

"are those for me?" Spencer asks, pointing at the flowers, smiling.

"yes they are, beautiful. I'm so happy to see you" I tell her, giving her the flowers and leaning in for a kiss.

I sit on the end of the bed as she admires the pretty bouquet of flowers. They match her robe- some of them are purple and some of them are white. She gives them one final sniff and then looks at me.

"I bought coffee too. From the brew" I tell her passing her a large portable coffee cup that they put her coffee in.

"oh my god really? thank you so much, I really needed it. the coffee here tastes like crap, like your drinking liquid cardboard" She says, taking a sip of her beverage. "shouldn't you be at work? surely you must have a huge case to work on right now with everything going on..."

"yeah it's gotten pretty chaotic at the station. Tanner has put most of us on patrol, we're just making sure the whole town is safe, and It's my lunch break, so I came to see you" I tell her.

"You didn't have to come and see me... you probably have more important things to be doing right now..."

"nothing is more important than seeing you" I say.

A smile creeps on to Spencer's face. she's just so stunning, even with no makeup on in a hospital robe she's still the most beautiful girl in Rosewood, no doubt.

Spencer's pov

I'm still holding the bunch of flowers that Toby gave me. they're so beautiful, I'm so lucky to have a boyfriend as good as Toby.

"would you mind putting these in the empty vase on the side board?" I ask him. he immediately gets up and puts the bouquet in the clear glass vase.

He comes back and drags a chair to the side of the bed. I lay my head on to my pillow and stare into his amazing blue eyes. we just sit/lay there for a while, looking at each other. I suppose that's one of the things that makes a good relationship, you can hang out without talking and it's not awkward.

He straightens up in his chair and starts up another conversation.

"So, how have you been?" He asks me.

"well, the doctors have run all sorts of tests, we're still getting the results back but so far they're all coming back with positive results. hopefully I'll be out by tomorrow with the rest of the girls, I mean depending on the test results..." I start.

"Spence" Toby interrupts. "how are you feeling"

"Well how would you feel if you had just been kidnapped and kept in an underground bunker for just under a month" I say seriously.

"I'm sorry I should've never bought it up I mean with what you're going through..."

"No. Tobes. Don't apologise. It's going to come up in conversation one day, I'm sure..."

That's the truth. It does hurt talking about the real life dollhouse we were kept in. I guess I just have to get used to it, my parents have already made me give them every detail so they can use it in court when they find Charles. I couldn't tell them some things though. there are some things I experienced in there that I don't ever think I'll ever be able to explain. they hurt that bad that it is probably going to change my life forever. as if my life wasn't already jacked up enough.

"I'm just so sorry... whoever did this to you and the other girls is going to rot in jail for the rest of their miserable life. I'm going to make sure of that" he says. I smile knowing he's always there for me and my friends.

"I know you're going to find him" I say, looking up at his face. God, he's so handsome in his uniform.

he leans in to kiss me so I sit up and push my face towards his. the sensation of his lips touching mine is what I've been craving all day, to finally be reunited with my boyfriend.

we are in the middle of a great make out session when both my parents walk in with three trays of hospital food. I see out of the corner of my eye that they are both just staring at us while we kiss.

I don't know what their expression is. it might me that they're upset that we're choosing to be all lovey dovey under the circumstances we're in or that they're happy that after all of that time in the Dollhouse I'm back with the people that I love.

I pull away from Toby as he looks towards the door.

"I should probably go... I have another shift very soon" he says, looking at me happily with his coffee before getting serious and leaving me in the hospital room with my mom and dad.
