They moved swiftly and silently. Only thing that could be heard was the sound of their deep breathing. The girl that was hanging over his shoulder laid, limp and quiet. Her screaming caused them to find an effective way to shut her up. Choke her, not to death but just until she passed out.

"Larry, what are we gonna do now? We can't bring her back to her friends. She'll start screaming even louder when she sees them." Laurent asked, panicked as they made their way away from the road. He wasn't afraid of getting caught, he was more afraid of getting his brother in trouble because she was louder than the others.

He stared at the back of his brother's head until he turned around while shifting the weight of the girl over his shoulder. "We could bring her to the place we brought those two guys last year." He replied with a deathly calm tone that caused Laurent's skin to crawl.

Laurent flashed back to last year; they were at an abandoned tree house. The twins both had bats in their hands while a sobbing football player carried his unconscious friend. The boys caught the two off guard as they walked down the street on their way to a halloween party.

The two boys weren't bullies or unfriendly. There was nothing bad to say about the pair. It was just the simple thing. Wrong place at the wrong time.

Laurent could remember that sounds the of the boy begging them to let his friend go and he'd scarifie himself for the wellbeing of his 'brother'. Larry's evil grin practially melted off of his face the moment the word 'brother' he made the decision to let the boys go but not before he broke their noses and made one split his lip.

The twins were snapped out their thoughts when they heard groans coming from the girl Larry was carrying.

"Oh shit. We gotta move fast before she starts to scream again." Laurent's panic seemed to increase. He franticly looked around as if somebody was following and waiting for them to get caught.

"Shut up, we're here." Larry motioned to an old rotting tree house. The boys had been in walking through the woods one day and came across it.

It was covered in moss, the wooden planks were spliting, and there was a flow odor that seemed to come from one side of the tree house but the boys never tried to figured what it was.

"Let's put her right there." Larry pointed to a pile of dirt that sat next to the tree. "Do you have a belt or something? We need to tie her up with something." He sighed when his brother shook his head no. "Okay look up there and I'll just sit right here with her to make sure she doesn't run."

The older twin started to look for anything that would keep the blonde from escaping. After about 5 minutes he finally found something. A rope that somehow blended in with the many vines that had grown up the sides of the tree house.

Laurent turned to his brother with a huge grin. "I found a rope. It's not that long I think it will do." It took a while before his brother replied to him with yes.

The twins wasted no time in tying the girl's arms to a thick branch, making it damn near impossible to untie herself. Just as they finished the final knot, she began to stir awake. Her blonde hair swinging in the cool breeze as she looked around trying to figure out where she was.

Once she caught a glimpse of her captors she broke down into loud sobs.

"Why are you guys doing this? What did we do to deserve this? Where are we? Where are my friends?" She rattled one question after another.

Larry shifted his gaze off of his brother, who looked he was very close to a melt down, to the weeping girl standing in front of them.

"Well sweetheart, we don't really target people. We don't discriminate when it comes to these kind of things. It's just so happened that we chose you and those lovely girls back there." He nodded towards the direction where her friends were, probably bleeding out or something just as bad. "Now I know it's unfair that you have to go through this but it's a tradition. We'd usually be home by now but it seems like this year is gonna be a little different. You see, we've never had a runner before and you were so close to getting away. Honestly I'm impressed. You even had me give you a chance to go free but unfortunately you just didn't fight hard enough." He shook his head in disappointment.

After he finished his little speech he walked over to his twin who had seemed to come down. He looked into his brother's eyes telling him that everything was going to be okay and that they would be going home soon.

"Alright, so what do we do with you now?"

Laurent turned to his brother with a look that said he had an idea. It was brutal but he just to go home and lay down.

"Leave her. It's supposed to be a thunderstorm coming soon, she'll get soaked then freeze. Before we leave we should make sure that she can't run away again." He started to gain his confidence back. "Grab her legs." He motioned to frightened girl.

"What?!?" She yelled. "Please no! Please don't do this, please. I won't say anything I promise. I promise, you have to believe me when I say I'll keep my mouth shut." She started to cry harder than before. It seemed like the boys completely ignored her and each grabbed one of her legs. They were going to break them.

"Okay turn her foot one way and pull her in the opposite direction." Instructed his brother as he did the same to her other ankle.

Screams and sounds of bones cracking were all that you could hear. Even the birds were quiet as if scared of the haunting noises that echoed through the trees.

"Let's go. Mom is going to be worried if we get caught in the rain." Larry huffed.

Laurent put the blonde's mangled leg down and stepped back, watching her.

"Okay. I think we're done for tonight." He smiled. "I can't wait 'til next year."

He leaned forward to whisper into the blonde's ear. "Happy Halloween."
