When i was young i used to stay at my grandparents house, they had a walk-in attic that i was absolutely petrified of, and of course i had to sleep in the room just past the walk-in attic. The house was out in the countryside, so it was so quiet you could always tell if anyone was awake.
i used to have trouble getting to sleep and usually woke up at the middle of the night, afraid to move, so i just lay still in my bed until i fall asleep. Anyway, one night at around 3 or 4 am, i was feeling brave. i wanted to get over my fear of the dark, so i asked " if there's anything out there, please tell me." i asked, and almost instantly i heard two large knocks on the door. i never asked again...
