Pokata ch.17

   I flew up to the castle on Inferno's back. The battle inside was still raging on until they all saw me. Inferno flew around the armies until he landed in an empty space and spread his wings out wide to look more intimidating. I jumped down and looked at the enemy.

   "Surrender now and you will be spared. Continue to resist and you will be burnt to a crisp!"(because poetry) I yelled. One soldier dropped his sword and shield. The rest followed suit. I was honestly surprised, especially because these are supposed to be the strongest of the strong on this continent. I smiled and walked to the king. He was easy to spot. Satan was standing right next to him not moving his gave away from the king. I looked at the devil and wondered.

   "What are we going to do with him? Are we goin-" My words were stopped and my question was answered as I looked on in horror. Satan had just sliced the man in half. Not from across the stomach either. He cut him from the top of his head to in between his legs. Two symmetrical pieces of the king. His army tried to run to the front gate only to be blocked by Inferno.

   "Stay here and continue working as a soldier to protect this land and don't worry about us. We will be going to Pokata and leave some soldiers here to keep watch. If you try to fight back again they will signal for the entire sum of demon warriors to wipe you out. Not the people, just the soldiers. So continue doing your job and all will be good. Got it?" I said as I was walking over to Inferno. They then all got into lines and saluted. Satan was not happy with my authority. He was being seen as a lesser to these people. This was going to be a problem.

   Satan walked over to Mark to show he had more power. I saw him look at me angry but had no idea why. I thought that I did a good job.

   "Is Dark still fighting?" I looked at him and told him that I gave soldiers to help but had no idea if he was still in the middle of combat. Though my wondering was no longer needed, for Dark and all the soldiers had been seen running about 5 miles away. With our speed he should be here in about.....now.

   "HI Mark. Wait, did we already take over?" I stared to laugh at his expression. Satan answered him in an annoyed voice. Satan wanted to go to Pokata now but I suggested that we rest here then go. That way the soldiers will be more able to fight. The final decision was that we stay and rest. Inferno decided to stay and rest with me so that Ember would be safer.

*TIME SKIP*

   I woke up as everyone else did. I let everyone wake up slowly because it was still early. Satan was clearly already wide awake.  I walked over to him to ask a question.

   "So how are we going to cross the ocean?" He looked at me and made a creepy smile. "I'm Satan! That will be easy. I'm going to make a path of fire. and because I'm a God , we will be able to move across it." I had forgot that he was actually a celestial. I nodded my head and walked off to go see Inferno who was now awake. Ember was playing with Isis. So Inferno and I talked and bonded till it was time to head out. 

   "Move out!" Satan yelled. All the soldiers lined up and and started running immediately. It didn't take long to get to the ocean where Satan shot a blast of fire and it formed into a path which we all ran across. The bridge formed in front of us as we ran and dissipated behind us as we moved on. Once we crossed I had my army rest while Satan, Lucifer, and Dark went to go fight because their targets were much farther. As soon as the time came we headed out. 

   Again the military for this continent was ready for us. I used the same strategy of having soldiers move to the sides for emergence. I also had Inferno, Ember, and and Isis hide far away and await for my signal. I didn't however have the fire wall put up. I had a different idea of how to use that. As the army charged toward us I had the the wall made but above them as to not hit them.....yet. 

   "Now dark magic!" Then some warriors used the magic to move the fire so it laid flat. "NOW!" The wall then dropped an burned half of the army. Not all of them died but they were injured badly. 

   "CHARGE!" The demons ran and attacked them. The injured went down easily so now we had the rest of the army, but like all of the continents, they have warriors with abilities. Pokata has one of the weaker armies but have have powerful inhuman soldiers. I wanted to end this quick. 

   "FIRE FROM THE FLANK!!!" My soldiers I put on the side stayed hidden but blasted the inhuman soldiers with balls of fire. Most of them missed but a few of them connected. My demons then targeted the fallen soldiers. My warriors on the sides were quite smart because they moved and never fired in twice in a row in the same spot. They fired then moved. I saw the girl ordering the rest of the special warriors and decided to target her myself. 

   I ran over and took a swing. She almost complexity dodged but I managed to make her neck bleed. She was blond and had short hair. A tall girl so I had to look up to see her. She was skinny and looked like a cheerleader dressed up for Halloween. She had bow with a quill full of arrows. This means that I have the advantage depending on her power. As I stood there I started to get tired quickly. I lunged with my right hand raised to cut her with my sword. She jumped back and avoided my blow. This person clearly fought by dodging and attacking when the opponent id tired. 

   I was loosing energy rapidly and that's when I figured out her ability. She stales energy. That's why I'm becoming out of breath and she looks perfectly fine. Even just standing I get more tired. I looked at the girl and grimaced. I ran again and instead of attacking once and trying to be strategic about it I just started to slice and swing. I used every once of energy that had not been stolen. She began to look worried as I started to go all barbarian on her ass. I saw more and more red on her body as the battle around us continued to rage on. I finally got a direct hit across her left shoulder. 

   I heard a loud scream come from her mouth as it radiated through the battle grounds. The girl was clearly not used to pain like this. She was just used to dodging and not being hit. I took the chance and lifted my right hand with the sword and sliced her at the torso. Using my fire power I made the blade as hot as hell fire so the chop cut her left arm and stomach in half. Then she screamed out once again for she was still alive as the upper half of a person. I walked away not able to look at the horrible sight. What did I just do? That didn't feel right.

   One of Pokata's inhuman soldiers could instantly grow carnivores plants. He grew a giant Venus flytrap right to Mark who was standing still thinking about what he had just done. The fly trap rocketed itself at Mark. I had no idea it was there. I just stood there unknowing as the meat eating plant was about to engulf me.
