Annie's POV

" What the heck?" I ask myself as I lift myself off of the green grass. I must have passed out, due to the beating that I received. I look around. It is so peaceful. It is an open field with emerald green grass, skyscraper trees, and vibrant violet flowers.

" Can I help you?" a smooth and silky voice asked.

I looked up, still stunned, and saw a boy with brown hair and blue and green eyes.

" Helloooooo?"he said with exaggeration. " Are you just going to stare at me or tell me what you are doing here?".

" Oh!" I acclaimed. " I'm Annie and I was run-...taking a walk." I almost slipped.

" Walking?"

"Yeah"

"Just walking ?" he said while raising his eyebrow and with suspicion. I finally realized how attractive he was. His eyes were right in the sunlight and they glimmered. He was beautiful. He was biting his lip and I could not breath, I don't know if it was from his looks or the fact I was almost beaten to death.

" Uh.. yeah, but I got lost and just took a nap".

" Then why do you have bruises, scratches and sores?"

" For a person I have never met you ask a lot of questions. First, none of your business and second who are you and what are you doing here?"

" Heh, never thought the girl I found who looked dead could have such attitude. I come here to clear my mind an relax. I've been coming here since I was eight. And by the way my name is Leighton Hutton."

"Oh" I say. Leighton Hutton. Nice name. He is so calm yet anxious. I feel as if I'm going to pass out. " I have to go" I say as I'm getting up.

"Wait-"

I turn around

" Tell me your name" he demands.

" Annie". I walk away wishing that reality would never detect me.
