"I'm Not Your Mum! I'm Like Half Your Age!"

I woke to a blinding light from the sun. It looked as though it was about noon. I realized I was getting really thirsty with the sun beating down on me. Suddenly I saw a speck in the distance. Oh my unicorns! I think it's land!

"Yo, Lou! Wake your lazy bum up!"

"5 more minutes mum."

Wow... I thought he was supposed to be 21 years old, not 8. -.-

"I'm not your mum! I'm like half your age!"

Wow, he is really stubborn and a deep sleeper, but then again so am I.

"LOUIS WILLIAM TOMLINSON! I FOUND LAND SO WAKE UP YOU SLUG!"

"Alright, alright I'm up. Wait YOU FOUND LAND?!? THIS IS GREAT!"

"I literally just said that."

Well by now we were about 50 meters from the shore.

"Hey! I think we can swim to the shore now. We're probably close enough."

"I think you're right for once Louis."

"Wow... I'm really feeling the love Sky. I'm really feeling it."

"Just hurry up! I'm tired of sitting here."

"Fine lets go, but follow me."

We both proceded to jump into the water and start swimming towards the unknown land in the distance.

After a short stretch of swimming I was able to feel the ground beneath my feet.

"Oh thank god. It feels so good to stand on real land again." I said as I flopped down on my back.

"Agreed."

For the first time I got a really good look at the island we were on. Wow... It really was a beautiful place. I saw a pool with a little river flowing into it, and a lot of palm trees. Not to mention the really pretty beach we happened to be on at the moment.

"Well we should probably stay on the beach for toninght until we can explore the rest of the area." I suggested.

"You know, for a 12 year old kid you are really smart."

"Thanks I try." I flashed him a cheeky smile.

We went to some nearby trees and grabbed a couple of low hanging leaves to sleep on so we wouldn't have to sleep on the ground directly.

"Do you think the water in that pool and stream is safe to drink?"

"Maybe, but we can't be certain and we certainly can't have anyone getting sick from drinking poisoned water."

"You make quite a good point Sky."

"You know what. We won't live long without water so we should probably just figure out if it's safe to drink soon."

"Well, if it tastes salty it's probably not drinking water, but if it tastes fine it's probably safe."

"Alright you first."

"What?!? No way! You can't make a kid test the water!"

"Fiiiiiinnnneee. I'll try it."

"Thanks, Lou it's much appreciated." I said with a smirk clearly evident on my face. He muttered something incoherent as he aproached the stream. He was hesitantly tasteing the water a bit when a smile bloomed on his face.

"It tastes fine."

"Great! Now we have a water supply!"

"You know it's been a really long day, and we should probably go to sleep."

"Yeah I'm really tired right now." As we layed on the ground Louis started to softly hum as I drifted off into a soft blissful blackness.

Well I'm sorry it took so long to update and I honestly don't care if anyone is reading this it's fun just to write.
