Khushi made a face but seeing his serious face, she groaned and closed her eyes. He put his hand over her eyes to make sure and then led her to the connected door of his study room with their room and opened the door. He lifted his hand off her eyes and whispered " Open "
Khushi opened her eyes and was in shock. His big spacious study room turned into a nursery. The room was done up in pastel green; one wall was mural with the theme of the jungle and also infested with animals of all sorts; then on the opposite wall she saw a picture of Arnav and Khushi taken on Anjali's birthday where Khushi in her red saree and Arnav in his suit; and also there was a huge French windows gave a clear view to the poolside; middle of the room two white baby cots with pillows and toys and the stars mobile above the cots; two rocking horses beside the cots; a rocking chair near the cribs; a comfortable sofa cum bed; one baby closet - one section full with boys' cloths and another one with girls; a baby storage cupboard with neatly arranged towel, nappies, other necessary toiletries,powder, toys, baby feeding bottles and everything; a diaper changing table at the farthest corner; a baby monitor placed in the room tune with all the activities of their babies; and the washroom wall colored in sky blue with little fishes painted on the walls; a big bathtubs for their babies and some toys also for playing in water.
Khushi had never imagined such a wonderful room for their babies. She now understood from two weeks what work he used to do in study room for hours. He decored the whole nusery room and it was the best surprise she had ever had. She looked at Arnav and tried to comprehended something to say but the words stuck in her throat; all the emotions came out in the form of tears.
Khushi: It is so beautiful Arnav ji. Never in my dreams I imagine such a wonderful room for our babies. Thank you Arnav ji it's the best anniversary gift anyone could ever have ( sobbing ).
Arnav slid his arms around her and smiled at his overly emotional wife.
Arnav: I didn't do all this for you , so stop crying.
Khushi slightly hit his chest and then hugged him.
Khushi: I love you Arnav ji.
Arnav: I love you too Baby. But Baby it's not your anniversary gift
Khushi: what? where is my gift then...
Arnav grinned and led her out of the baby room. He made her sit on bed; then went to wardrobe and took out six jewelry boxes from there. He opened one box of them. Khushi gasped to see a 4 carat royal diamond engagement ring and blue diamond surrounded by a halo of bright white old round cut diamonds. Arnav put the ring on Khushi's ring finger; then kissed her hand.
