Everyone just stood there. Stood there on the main street of Storybrooke wondering about Snow's soothing words. Because of all these crises, curses and threatening battles, nobody had a clue what life is actually about. It's about living. And that's exactly what they should do now. Living.
Snow as the optimistic leader, as she was, went straight to Granny's as if it was their home. But let's see it clear, Granny was the place where everybody was united and most importantly happy.
Everybody followed Snow with confusion in all of their faces.
"And for you, living means eating Granny's Lasagna?" Regina looked at Snow waiting for an explanation. "No, as I said being together is happiness and where else could we better celebrate the ending of all these battles than at Granny's." Snow replied. Everyone smiled about her encouraging words. Nobody could do a hope speech better than Snow.
This evening was just everything they could have ever dreamed of. Spending time with all these people who became a family and not just because of their weird and baffling relations to each other. Sitting there in peace and harmony was the perfect happy new beginning for everyone of them. Granny's was filled with laughter and tears of joy. They talked about every adventure they had to face and they even talked until the sun rose. The heroes, even Mr. Gold, who finally did the right thing, said goodbye to an evening which will be forever in their memories. Which will be forever in their happy memories.
"It's very late, Neal is really tired and to be honest I could need some sleep as well." David lifted Neal up. His little eyes were already closed. Snow came over to him with a big grin at her face. "Didn't you get enough sleep when we were cursed?" Now they both can laugh about this time which was one of the hardest test for their true love but they and most importantly their love survived. "Maybe I didn't mean sleep the way you interpreted it." Now he had to grin too. They both had to. "Okaaay Dad. Wish you both a good night or whatever." It is still a weird situation for Emma listening to her parents talking about sex. Killian was just standing beside her winking at David. "Good night honey. We love you." And with these words her father pulled her close to her and gave her a kiss on her forehead. He would've done great raising her. Snow, almost in tears did the same and hugged her. "I am so proud of you!" "So am I!" added David joining his wife. "Thank you, Dad." Emma couldn't believe that this is now her life. She found her family. She isn't longer the lost girl searching for her roots. She isn't longer the bail bonds person looking for evidence. She is a mother of an incredibly smart son, a daughter of the most admiring heroes in all history, and lately she became a wife to her pirate who loves her so much that he traded his beloved ship for her. She couldn't be more happier. "What do you say Swan, shall we go home and see what's on Netflix or whatever that thing is called?" Killian, confused as always looked at Emma also winking at her. "I hope you don't mean Netflix and Chill because if that's the case I will sleep in my old room in Regina's mansion or when I have to, I will sleep on a bench at the docks." That was the moment everybody had to laugh out loud. Poor Henry. Cleaning the plates, Granny scurried around. "Although I don't want to disturb this happy evening, I'll soon have to clean everything up and make the diner ready for tomorrow."
Granny was right. It was a happy evening and there are many more to come.
