Chapter 1

"Kina?" My teacher looks at me.

"Yes?" I say hesitantly.

"Congratulations." He says non enthusiastically. "You have moved up to the Jonin level and will be assigned a team tomorrow. Do NOT be late." He then walks off to the next Genin.

I roll my eyes and sigh. I hate it when people treat me like that. They think I'm trouble even though they let me pass through my ninja ranks. I just don't get people at all.

I quickly look around and put my ninja head band on around my head so my bangs hang over top of it. One of my classmates, Hinata, looks at me curiously.

"Kina, what are you doing?" She whispers quietly and I smirk.

"I'm gonna go for a run."

"But you'll get in trouble and your supposed to stay here." She looks at me with troubled eyes and I sweat drop.

I start to braid my long yellow hair so it won't get in the way. I had to have it down since we had to look "nice" for the ceremony. I'm not that kind of person though.

I finish my braid and it falls to the top of my waist and I look back over at Hinata. I give her a "you know I'm bored" look.

"I get in trouble all the time!" I smile, "Don't worry I'll be back soon!"

"But..!!" She gets out.

But, before she can say anything I race out the door leaving her protest unfinished. She always warns me about everything but she knows, I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to follow every rule. I mean I will listen to them but, not always follow them. That's another reason why I get in trouble a lot.

I sprint down the street dodging people and jump on top of a building roof. I look over the village as a stand thinking.

"Hmmm... What looks good today?" I whisper under my breath.

I always do a running routine everyday so I can improve my speed and maintain my weight. Plus I love running anyways! It's fun! Especially when you've got a nice day like today.

I choose a path that goes by the walking area along the trees. The trees look calm like they are beckoning for me to come over and run by then. I put a smile on my face and start running down the street again; this time, by the Hokage rock of the four previous Hokages. I race down the steps and slowly go to a walk. I walk by the tree line feeling the summer breeze go by and take in a deep breathe. As I walk down in the trees I hear someone call out to me.

"Hey! What are you doing down there?"

I look back and see the yellow haired boy named Naruto, standing there with confusion and anger.

"Why do you care?" I say annoyed.

"Shouldn't you be at the ceremony?" He raises an eyebrow.

My eyes widen, "How do you know that?"

He shrugs his shoulders, "just a lucky guess since you-"

"We'll I don't care about a lucky guess. I can't stay there, it's troubling for them when I'm there." I march up to the steps angry. I get an anime vein since he ruined my peaceful walk.

I feel someone grab my arm and I turn around. The boy looks at me with beautiful blue ey- Wait what? No I shouldn't be thinking about this person right now.

"Why are you trouble to them?" he says gripping my arm more tightly.

"Why don't you go ask them! They have the best explanation than I do!" I stare at him in anger and detach his hand from my arm.

I jog off in the other direction to get back and hear footsteps behind me. I get another anime vein and pay no attention until he is right next to me.

"Why are you avoiding me?" he says looking over at me.

My eyes are hidden under my bangs. "Why are you FOLLOWING me?" I say emphasizing following.

He puts his hands up in a play of surrender and sweat drops. "Sorry. I was just asking."

I ignore him and keep jogging until I get back to the academy. I open the door and walk in and everyone looks at me and the tall boy behind me. I suddenly feel bad.

"Ah Naruto! thanks for rounding up the trouble maker."

My eyes widen and I look back at him and our eyes meet. I instantly look away and walk over next to Hinata and watch the boy from there.

"Troublemaker?" he says under his breath then catches my stare and looks up and smiles.

I avert my eyes and let the boring day begin again.
