Chapter 3

I wouldn't stop thinking about what Bella texted me all night. All night all I did was cry. I cried about getting beat up and I cried about my parents. Later that night I got a call from a police officer. He told me that there was a very bad car accident. He said that a drunk driver hit my parents carat an intersection on the highway. That there car was found burning. I stopped listening I couldn't listen to him going on and on about my now dead parents. Harry sat on the bed next to me and he gave me a hug. It felt good being close to him. I felt safe and he knew that whatever was going on I didn't want to talk about it. But I felt like he should know.

" My parents died." I say and I start to cry again.

He hugs me again but this time hold me closer and doesn't let go.

"Are you going to say anything?" I ask him.

"I really don't know what to say I never met them. What do you want me to say. That they were the best people to have ever walked this planet?" He yells at me.

"No I want you to comfort me and tell me that its going to be okay. Not yell at me. " I say while crying.

" I'm sorry I'm not really good at comforting people and I'm not really good with dealing with death either."

"What?" I ask him confused.

"I've never really told anyone this but my mother died when I was 14. After that my father started to get drunk all the time and he became addicted to drugs. I didn't feel safe anymore. I was always so scared that he was going to hurt me. So I ran away and I have lived here for the past three years." He told me.

"I never knew you've been through all that. I thought you were just some cute jock."

'You think I'm cute?" He asked me smiling at me.

"Yeah a little." I can feel how red my face is

.I change topics quickly.

"Wow, I just can believe I am never going to see my parents again. I never even got to tell them that.... wait nothing never mind. I think we should get some rest its really late."

"Okay. I'll take the couch."

"No its fine you can stay here." I tell him.

"All right." He says with a grin on his face.

I put my head in his chest and he wrapped his arms around me and we drifted off to sleep.
