Katie's POV

When we make it to the airport we go get a seat near our gate.

I'm shaking in excitement and fear.

The place is so crowded I feel like I'm I a small box.

"Flight 196 is now boarding"

We all get up from our seats and make our way over to the flight attendant and give her our tickets.

Once we get on the plane we take our seats and take off after about 10 minutes. I don't know how but I managed to fall asleep in the noisy plane.

---

I wake up to my moms voice in my ear, "Kate wake up"

"I'm up I'm up" I mumble.

"Good. We are going to get off this flight in a bout 5 minutes and then we will go to our chauffeur."

Oh yeah, my parents are very rich and have chauffeurs. they are surgeons and don't really come home often but they got a little vacation and they are spending it with me.

We get off the plane and make it over to the man holding a sign reading "Simmons" on it.

I jump into the limo before they can start a conversation with me. I am too tired to talk to anyone right now.

"Honey, why don't you say hi Mark?"

"I'm too tired." I whine.

"That doesn't mean you have to be rude" she states in a calm tone. she kinda scares me sometimes.

Within minutes we arrive to the house my parents bought for us when we come here. it is only a couple blocks away from my grandparents house but it is huge and has a entrance to the beach from the back.

I run up the stairs an to the double doors and make my way inside. It's just how I remembered. big chandeliers, hardwood floors and all the rooms that we have. I make my way up the salt airs and into my room.

It's just how I left it. clean. I go over to my bed and drop my luggage immediately. I lay down on my back and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

Today is my relaxing day. Then all the hard stuff will come after. If only I lived here, that would be amazing. I'm done with my life in New York. I need a new start at a new school with new kids. even though I will miss my best friend Sarah.

I drift off to sleep ignoring my mothers comments about me being lazy and not helping. Dreaming about life in Florida.

--

I wake up to the sound of a loud truck and banging noises.

I look out my window that gives me a perfect view from next door to see a large moving truck.

The house next to ours has been for sale for almost 5 years now. I wonder who's moving in.

Even though it's early in the morning, I get up and make my way downstairs into the kitchen.

I grab the cereal box and open the mostly empty fridge to get milk. we really need to go food shopping. I guess I will later.

Today is another day where we don't have to do much but unpack and get supplies and food.

Then tomorrow we visit my grandparents and go out to the docks.

Sounds fun but not so good memories are there to haunt me. and I never told anyone about them. Only Sarah. I think I'd like to keep it that way.
