rattle
Blood flys across the walls as the bullet impacts the chest of the lady I just shot. Not a loud sound comes out of the shotgun. I hear sirens but I assume that's just a hallucination. They sounded too close, too soon. I see my bag and I immediately start work.
I grab bleach and pour that into her mouth. I take pliers and start pulling all of her teeth out. I hear the grind of tooth ripping off the gum and out of root. I grab scissors and start cutting her hair off. Piece after piece falls off her head and lands on the ground beside her. One hand is emptying the bag and the other is holding her head. I grab a large spoon and scoop one eye out. One hand holds the eye and the other cuts the little cord that holds the eye to the brain. It came off with a soft snip. I do the exact same to the other eye. I take the pliers and pull her long fingernails off her hand. I replicate that and do that to her feet. I grab a lighter from my bag, and start burning off her fingerprints. I acted like I had done this before. I hadn't though I wished I had. It was such a rush. I knew nobody would call anyone, because they were all gone on Christmas holidays. She, had to house sit. Never know who might do what in the land of Canada.
My blonde curly hair falls into my eye, but I ignore it. My all black hoodie holds my phone, and a pack of smokes. I look around my environment and notice a large kitchen to the right of me, holding everything a kitchen would need. Like a fridge and a stove and a kitchen table and a counter. To the left of me I see a living room, and inside it is a television, with a vcr underneath it. A CD player on the top of the vcr. A large couch with a square at the end of it, and a lamp beside the couch.
But one thing that stood out the most was the rattle of keys at the door behind me.
