Adventurous Nikola

As the pain surrounds the hospital bed and his hope begins to fade, Nikola surrounds himself with therapy for his cancer. Little did he know that he would not live much longer as his cancer would fight viciously towards him leaving him desperately ill and gloomy. Agony surrounded his world like the air he breathed and the pain would fight like soldiers in a deadly war. He was just a little boy living in a world filled with needles and treatment but had a charming passion for exploring the stories and adventures in books. Books would keep him unfocused on the pain that he had fought against and would take him to magical places filled with absolute wonder. His imagination devoured the books as his mind would take him into the lifestyle of the stories he had encountered. He was pleased when his mother gave him a new book to read as his mind and eyes prepared for adventure and fascination. He gleamed at the story teller as he griped his hands onto it and turned to the first page when his imagination started to examine the words until he was swept into the story.

Nikola was suddenly surrounded in a setting filled with glistering, beaming and shimmering sunlight and towering, gigantic and vicious trees overpowering the astonishing blue sky. Glitter glistened through the atmosphere as birds sing throughout the deserted forest with the trees beholding a light breeze. The little boy seemed to be isolated as the nature provided him with until suddenly a small unlike creature approaches him.
"Hello little boy." The creature whispered. Nikola without doubt burst into fear since of the creatures speech and ran as far away from the creature as far as possible.
"Oh no little boy come back! I mean no harm, I bring you peace. You may need some help to get around this village of Belletopia since it is filled with mystical creatures like myself and some creatures may cause you harm, so please if you may return and I'll guide you throughout this village." Said the mystical creature.
Nikola froze and payed attention to the words that the creature had said as he had laid his foot steps towards him. His breath puffed like the faint wind in the distance as he was determined to know who this creature was. He was then facing towards the creature with a suspicious look.
"I didn't mean to scare you, my name is Zuloo and I am a troll, what is your name?" Zuloo said. Nikola glazed down down to him with wide eyes as he was astonished at what he had saw. "Nikola, my name is Nikola." He said in a quiet tone.
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Nikola, follow me, I'll give you a tour around this village." Said Zuloo. Nikola nodded as he had followed the footsteps of Zuloo.

Nikola was surprisingly impressed with the atmosphere he was approaching in. The gigantic mushrooms were gleaming and mystical as the trolls would be inhabited in them. Fairies would glitter throughout the village as they would leave a trail of fairy dust every time they would flatter their wings as they lived in the petals of flowers. Dragons would have misty fire as their breath as they lived in the forest filled with barbaric and soaring trees. The village was a charming and quiet place filled with love from residents. "I hope that you are enjoying this place Nikola, you need to meet my partner Destiny." Said Zuloo.

Nikola and Zuloo were approaching a large mushroom home with a roof of a flower. The house was surrounded near the misty and deserted forest and Zuloo had introduced Nikola inside the house as a fairy with black shimmering hair and large vaporous wings has approached the area. "This is Destiny, my amazing fairy." Zuloo had said proudly. Nikola was shocked to have approach someone so uniquely beautiful and gorgeous head to toe. Sparkles had simmered in her striking blue eyes as her smile has lightened up the world with her straight and white teeth. She was a splendid creature. "Hello Destiny, I am Nikola." Nikola had said quite shyly. Destiny was sparkled to meet such a different creature as she never met a human. "Well hello there Nikola," Destiny said "What part of Belletopia are you from?" Nikola suddenly felt a spark of fear run down his spine as he wasn't a part of the village. His imagination had believed that he would be killed if he had stated that he wasn't from the area. Fear shook him like an endless storm until Zuloo interrupted his fear. "Oh Nikola is not from here, he is from the human world as he came here for a visit." Zuloo had said. Nikola was relieved and was thankful for Zuloo's statement. "Oh okay, well welcome to our world, I hope it doesn't paranoid you but most of the creatures are lovely and nice, except the trees!" Destiny has excused.
As soon as she said her last breath a crackling noise was beaming in the ceiling. The roof was starting to collapse as a mysterious and murky branch with hand like features and appearances approaches Destiny and holds captive of her. Screams have demolished the ears of Zuloo and Nikola as Destiny goes out of sight in a split second.
"Zuloo! What just happened?! What was that?! Oh my goodness!" Nikola screamed in terror. Zuloo signs and gives a disgraceful look at the ceiling. "It was Mars, he is the king of all the trees in the forest. He has been targeting Destiny for a while since he has always admired her and wanted to be with her. His jealously was so powerful that he threatened to kill me several times and he had attempted to kidnap Destiny a lot of times, unfortunately he was successful this time." Zuloo said miserably. Commotion filled the scene as Nikola sparks and starts to run outside the house. His footsteps were increasingly not in control as they ran the fastest they have ever ran. He was running to save Destiny from Mars.
"Nikolaaa!! What are you doing?! You'll get killed!" Zuloo screamed in horror.

The boy continued to run his distance to the evil trees of Mars as the sky became increasingly evil and began to spread bolts of lightning and agonising clatter of thunder. "Well well well..." Mars yelled evilly "What do we have here? A little boy fighting against a powerful and deadly tree! I love to see how this ends mwhahaha!!" Nikola without doubt started to push his strength and climb viciously up the tree as he noticed that Destiny was stuck among the branches.
"Nikola! Please help me I am so scared!" Destiny screamed in terror. As Mars shakes his branches, Nikola continued to hold his balance and climb to the branch Destiny was stuck on as excruciating screams approach from her. Then suddenly Mars began to shake brutishly and made Nikola fall on hold on to a thin branch. He squeezed and tried to hold his grip as the height he was facing was high. He depended his life in the movement of his hands but the began to ferociously crack and his fear propelled quicker than a heart beat of a humming bird. "Nikola!!" Destiny and Zuloo shrieked.

But as soon as their voices were combined the branch completely snapped leaving Nikola fall to his downhearted death. Destiny was never rescued out alive which left the Belletopia village in a mild depression. Nikola had immediately exited the story but the reality was that he had died of his cancer. His mother cried in grief since his war was undefeated which left him companies to his death. Even in death, his heart was definitely bigger than anyone else's.
