Diana's POV:
Yay, it was finally summer, and summer meant going to Hollywood.
You see, my brother is the teen heartthrob of both England and America. His name is Harry Styles and before you freak out, he isn't worth fangirling over. Of course I say that from a sisters point of view. I am the youngest of three, Gemma being the oldest and Harry the middle child.
My brother promised that he would let me visit this summer before I went off to college in the Fall.
He was prepping for a tour so of course things were going to be exotic. Nothing was going to be peachy or a walk in the park, he was in the most popular boy band. Minus the fact that I don't listen to my brothers music, he will be thrilled to see me again. If I told him I have never heard one of their songs, surely I'd be dead.
I was packing and going from Florida weather to California weather wasn't much of a difference. Either way my clothing was perfect to pack. I had. exactly two hours and twenty-three minutes to finish packing and get to the airport. Being a girl meant I needed to start right away.
Being me, that wasn't going to happen. I always wait till the last minute to do everything.
I started anyways, I threw shorts, t-shirts, tanks, jeans and undergarments in my suitcase. Not bothering to fold any of it, I started to set my toiletries in as well.
I lazily closed the suitcase after shoving my laptop into the net pocket on the inside of the suitcase, along with three books and five magazines.
I got dressed into a black tank too and white shorts, I threw on a navy blue zip up, with a black beanie and grabbed my phone and wrapped my earphones around it gently. I latched my hand onto my guitar case and the other hand clutched the handle on my suitcase. I wheeled it downstairs and set everything at the front door.
I pondered for a moment, thinking if I had forgotten anything. I snapped my fingers and ran back upstairs. I had bought a One Direction poster to take with me so it would look as though I was a huge fan. I mean, I was, absolutely. But, you know I don't them except for my brother.
I quickly grabbed it and folded it multiple times before shoving it into my back pocket. "Mum!" I called out.
Nothing.
Typical, I swear if you didn't know my mum, you'd think she was deaf. She wasn't obviously but, she seems like it sometimes.
She was probably in the kitchen seeing as she loved to cook and bake. I walked into the kitchen and saw my mom dancing and seasoning the chicken. I laughed, "Mum!" I yelled and she jumped before looking up at me.
"Hey, darling." She greeted and turned down the music she had playing. "All ready to go?" She asked and I nodded with a sigh. "Yeah, I have to go in about and hour though." I explained and she. pouted. "I won't have my babies." She teased but, I knew she was. about to get emotional.
"Harry is never home, Gemma has been at work a lot and whenever I'm home she isn't and when she is home I'm not," She paused and inhaled deeply. "Now you, for a whole Summer, Diana are you sure you can handle the. flight alone, I mean you're terrified of heights, love." She was right, I absolutely hated heights, I was scared beyond belief of them.
I gave her a tight hug and let a tear escape my eye. Here's the thing, my mom and I have always been one, we always did everything together. So, leaving her was what was killing me most.
"I have to get going but I'll call you, I love you mum." I whispered and gave her a tender kiss to her forehead.
She nodded, "Your brother is waiting." She spoke. "Mum?" I whispered. "Yeah?" She answered.
"Do remember why we moved to Florida for this year?" I asked and she shook her head. I pulled away from our hug. "It was to be closer to Harry, knowing that most of their tour took place in America we decided to move. Mum you can visit even if I am only staying there for the Summer, there's nothing wrong with that." I explained and wiped away her tears.
"Bye." I whispered in a hushed tone. "Bye, be careful." She whispered back and I nodded. "Always."
I walked out of the kitchen and grabbed a hold on my stuff. Robin was waiting for me outside, I had texted him and told him I was saying goodbye to mum, he. understood. I shakily loaded my stuff into the car and climbed in. I inhaled and exhaled, "You alright?" Robin asked and I nodded reassuringly. "Yeah, I'm fine." I told him.
He backed out, "Are you sure?" He asked once more. I gave a stern nod, "Positive." He drove off.
I was excited to go to California, to experience new things and meet new. people. Usually hated meeting new people but, it was Hollywood and in Hollywood you have to know someone other than your family. It's just how things go and that is even outside of my brothers band mates because those lads don't count.
If my brother is in a band with them I will see them like everyday so it would just be like having five brothers instead of one.
Time passed and we finally arrived at the airport. I got out of the car and Robin followed. "Do you think she'll be fine?" I asked as I grabbed my guitar case and he grabbed my suitcase. "Anne will be fine, she just isn't used to you not being around." He exclaimed.
We waited until my flight was called aboard. Facing your fear is. like ripping off a bandaid, right? Fast but painful? I turned around and gave Robin a hug. "Bye, take care of mum." I said and he laughed. "I will, with all my heart." I playfully narrowed my eyes at him after I pulled away. "You better, or I will be coming home early." He laughed.
'Last call for Los Angeles. ' The intercom lady spoke. I closed my eyes before. opening them, "Bye." He smiled, "Bye Diana." I turned around and handed the lady my ticket. "Enjoy your flight." She smiled and me, I gave her my best fake. smile. "Thank you." I walked into the little hallway thingy that leads to your flight. "I'll try at least." I muttered.
I found my seat and buckled in. Once everyone was safely in the plane and seated they announced take off. Hopefully this wasn't as scary as it seemed. It's just flying, right?
