Rose stood before her boss, a dark and unruly man, who would not hesitate to kill her if she disrespected him. Her eyes never once had met his in the years that she had worked for him.
It was a rule. A very important one.
However, her boss seemed on edge as he lifted her chin and looked at her directly. His cold, brown, dead eyes stared her own, almost fragile in comparison, hazel ones into submission."Rose.." He paused to run his fingers through her long, ebony hair, "I need you to do something personal for me."
She seemed off guard at his sudden and unexpected proposition, even if she was his most trusted companion.
"I don't know, sir.. I have a lot to do regarding the other missions.." She mumbled, afraid of getting hurt if she angered him. With a heavy sigh he replied without showing any sort of malice, "I'll have Joe take your place in those. Happy?"
Rose bit her lip but nodded slowly, "So what is this personal favour?"
"I need you to go to a specific University and find a code. Obviously, you'll be undercover and I will organise most things for you outside of the immediate mission, the reward is hefty. But you have to avoid my son. He will distract you, he takes any new woman back to our home. If I find you there, I will skin you alive." He threatened as he explained the simplicities to her.
"Yes, yes. I have no interest for your son. I don't have those emotions. That's why you took me in." She mumbled, remembering her past childhood.
All he could do was remember the dead look she used to have in her eyes, how they were darker than his and her attitude was so dull and quiet, it was almost as if she had been dead until she'd reached the age of seventeen, but now she was a stunning twenty-two. Rose had changed an unexplainable amount, almost, even her name had been changed.
To forget the past. For the greater good. For her god damn sanity.

Later that evening, she received all that she needed to head out to the University. Rose didn't know the name and she didn't at all care for it. All this spy needed was a way in and out. The rest she could handle alone with barely any effort. It was a simple task, or so she believed.
The journey was long and painful for someone who usually loved the anticipation of a mission. She usually loved the wait, the stealth before even arriving. But this time, the drive dragged on. It was silent, not even the radio was on. Something felt very wrong to her. Which left a spark of worry in her mind, she was never wrong about her bad feelings.
Never.* * * *
Drawing away from our main character, at the said University, the son of Rose's boss, Cain Taylor, was egging his professor's car.
Yup, he was the bad boy. The take a girl out to a fancy dinner just to get into her pants type. If he wanted something, he would have it.Little did he or Rose know but, his affections and desires would become targeted at her like none other before, within his first glance at her. But it wasn't like either would have a choice in what was to be of their fate.
"Hey! Mr Cain! You're going to be expelled from my class and kicked out of this University if you continue!" The professor yelled, running up to his egged car to stop anything worse from happening to the precious vehicle he named Bertha.
"Thought you were meant to be good at 'rehabilitating' the bad kids here." Cain smirked and held up his hands for quotation marks, after throwing another egg in the car's general direction but purposely missing. He was teasing the professor.
"I am, but you take things too far young mister!" He returned defensively, his nose twitching with anger.
That was how Cain knew he would win.
"Didn't you get told if you couldn't fix me, you'd lose your job?" He chuckled and shook his head, walking away with a triumphant shrug. As if nothing in the world could ever bother him.
He just left the speechless professor there, staring in disdain at his now filthy and slimy car as the egg whites reflected the light of a nearby street lamp. The mischievous boy strutted out of the almost empty University, since he didn't live there but instead almost next door to the grand, centuries old buildings. Drawing him from his thoughts, he saw someone from the corner of his carefree, brown eyes, taking suitcases out of a car trunk. It wasn't like it was rare or anything, however he felt drawn to it. That train of thought left the station when his mother started screeching at him to go inside and go to sleep or shower or something, who knew. His eyes were laid bare on the luxurious, long and black locks of the barely visible maiden that was dragging her suitcases behind her.
Oh god, she was going to be the death of him. As her eyes met his, that was his only thought.
