"Help!"

Dreamfall whipped her head around, fur standing on end. Her left flank was brutally mauled, and patches of her lovely white fur were missing. She also had a deep gash running along down the right side of her face, barely missing her right eye that was in perfect condition.

Blood soaked the she-cat's paws, but it was not of her own. An hour ago her camp had been ambushed, by some group of stealthy rogues that the clan hadn't heard from ever in their peace of the quiet forest.

Now, hidden underneath some thick brush, she keeps her ears perked and profile low, not making a sound. Seconds later she sees two cats burst out from behind a giant rock, that'd hid them from view.

Dreamfall sucks in a nervous breath when she sees the smaller cat was Fernpaw, an apprentice that's been her daily reminder of when to take watch over the nursery while Spottedcloud left the den to eat.

Now the smaller she-cat was on her back, desperately trying to get away from the tomcat on top of her, digging his claws into her stomach before raking them down hard.

Dreamfall winced as Fernpaw howled in pain, and was forced to avert her eyes, squeezing them shut when she hears the crunch of bone and then a followed silence.

The scent of blood fills her nostrils, and finally she dares to steal a glance, horrified when she sees Fernpaw's state. The tom that had killed her, had given the apprentice one hell of a concussion. Even worse, it killed her on impact. What Dreamfall gaped at now was the smaller apprentice's cracked open skull, blood seeping into the dirt and rock she'd stated earlier.

After a few beats, the warrior finally darts out of the brush she'd been hiding in and collapses next to the limp form of Fernpaw. The young, playful apprentice didn't deserve this. Nobody in the clan deserved anything of what had happened today.

Dreamfall blames herself for the death of Fernpaw. She could have saved her, or at least spared her some time before the tom got a hold on her. Instead she'd been a filthy coward and watched this apprentice die right before her very eyes.

Laying there in silent contemplation, Dreamfall makes a decision. She will hunt down every cat who dared step foot in BreezeClan's camp and kill them all. Even if they take her down with them. Vengeance burns behind the she-cat's emerald gaze. She will have her revenge for the sake of her clanmates.

She can only wonder how she'll ever find the strength in numbers to attempt to track down these murderous cats.
