Lucy

My first instinct was to scream and faint on the spot. But, seeing that I was in a state of shock, I simply stared with my jaw dropped. Not every lady like but I'm standing in front of a dragon. "Are you feeling better now?" The dragon rumbled, looking at me expectantly. I took a second to realize that she was talking to me and a second to shake myself out of the shock that I was face to face with a dragon. "I..I uh..Er yeah I'm fine," I managed to stutter out. The dragon gave what seemed like a chuckle and then looked down at me.

"My, my you're a slow one aren't you?" I blushed a deep red and mentally scolded myself. Don't be so stupid Lucy! "So, uh who are you may I ask?" I questioned timidly. Stop it Lucy! Don't be so weak! The dragon tilted its head then after a few long moments of silence, it replied. "I am Mizu the Water Dragon."

"So do you by any chance happen to know Igneel?" I asked. Mizu snorted and then said,"That fool is known throughout the Dragon Realm for his destructiveness." I giggled. So Igneel is just like Natsu. "Well then my child, seeing that you already know about us dragons I can safely assume that you know about dragon slayers?" I nodded my head yes, not knowing where she was coming from.

She nodded her giant head in approval. "Well then..." She suddenly stopped. "What's wrong?" I asked. "I hear something approaching," she said. I didn't hear anything till a few seconds later I heard footsteps. "Come on I heard something," a familiar voice said. Who's voice is that? It sounds like-

"Woah!" I looked startled as I saw Natsu and Wendy standing there with mouths open, staring at Mizu. "Lucy-san?" Wendy asked, surprised. Natsu slowly ripped his gaze off of Mizu and sighed in relief. "Luce?" I swallowed audibly and took a step back. "Do you know them?" Mizu asked, still high on alert. I nodded but never took my eyes off of them.

"Are they friends?" Mizu once again asked, looking at me. I was silent for a moment. "No," I said softly. "No they aren't my friends." To this, they both looked surprised. "But Lucy-san-" Mizu hissed and then Natsu took immediate action by standing in front of Wendy. "Silence dragon slayers." They looked at her then  to me.

"How did you...?" Wendy left her question hanging. Mizu narrowed her eyes. "I can sense it," she hissed lowly. Natsu and Wendy looked at each other then to me. "What are you going to do with Lucy-san?" Mizu opened her great wings and then declared to them and to me: "I shall make her a dragon slayer."

...

"NANI?"

Wendy looked shocked and Natsu...I couldn't pin point his expression.

"Why her?" Natsu asked. "Why Lucy out of all people?" Natsu growled. Mizu retracted her wings sharply. "Do you have a problem young slayer?" Natsu looked to me then to her. "Of course I have  a problem! She's so weak!" I felt like crying. Still the same Natsu huh?

Mizu growled. "She's not weak! She's strong enough to protect herself. During those past 2 months in which I was watching over her, you know what? She put herself into a deep sleep using her own spell. Something I'm sure that a weak person can't do."

Mizu picked me up with a claw then started to rise from the ground. "Don't oppress the weak young slayer. For once we were all weak."

Natsu

I growled in frustration and in anger. "Natsu-ni, calm down," Wendy said quietly. I shook in anger. How dare she?! First she runs off and makes us take time to look for her. Then she has the nerve to say that we aren't her friends? And that's not even the worst part! The worst part was the fact that she made me feel so much less than her. How come she gets to meet a dragon? She's nothing but a weak, pathetic excuse of a mage!

If she drops her keys, she's done for! And yet, I can't even find Igneel after all these years of searching? Why her?!

"Natsu-ni! Snap out of it!" Wendy snapped suddenly. I turned to her surprised. Wendy never loses her anger that easily. "B-but she..."

"I am sad and frustrated too but remember what we did to her! I think she has the very right to say what she wanted to say!" Wendy said angrily. "What?" I asked, shocked once again.

"We hurt her Natsu-ni, I think we need to give her time to cool off. Especially you. You hurt her the most Natsu-ni." Wendy looked at me in silence, as if searching for something. "Don't you love her still?" She asked softly. That one sentence made me think back then as if a train hit me, I passed out. The last thing on my mind was Lisanna.
