Chapter 2

Serena's P.O.V
"So, please give a nice welcome to Ash Ketchum from the Kanto region." Professor juniper said.
"Hello, Ash!" Everyone announced.
"Hi everyone!" Ash replied. "Ok, Ash needs a seat, so...." Professor juniper said while looking around. I looked to my right, an empty seat! "Oh! You can sit next to me, Ash!" I said."Thanks, uh.. what's your name?" Ash asked me. "Serena." I replied. "That's a nice name! Thanks for the seat Serena!" Ash smiled, I blushed a bright pink, "Your welcome" I replied.

Ash's P.O.V

I took my seat next to Serena, she seems like a nice person, Pikachu seemed to fall asleep, I put him on my lap. "Rest well bud." I said.
"Awww! What a cute Pikachu!" Serena said while looking at Pikachu. "T-Thanks!" I replied, I wanted to keep the conversation going but the teacher started talking.
"Ok class, I know we are excited about our new student, but we should start the lesson" The teacher said, she went on for 20 minuets talking about grooming Pokémon, I wasn't to interested about it, but Serena seemed to be into it. Wait, why am I thinking about Serena so much? I don't even know, I shook the thoughts out of my head and listened to the lesson.
"And that's the basics of grooming!" The teacher said "So start grooming, you have 40 minuets". Everyone let their Pokémon out of their Pokeballs. "Ok Pikachu, wake up!" I said and I gently shook pikachu awake. "P-Pi?" Pikachu yawned. "Ok buddy, time to be brushed" I said and I took the brush that the teacher gave to everyone, I slowly brushed the hair on Pikachus ears. "Pi-Pikachu!" He smiled, "Ok, Pikachu, time for Fletchinder" I said "Pika!" Pikachu replied and sat up on my shoulder. "Ok Fletchinder, come on out!" I said and I put Fletchinders Pokeball on the ground.
"Fletchinder!" Fletchinder announced coming out of its Pokeball. "Cool Fletchinder!" Serena said. "O-oh! Thanks" I said while slightly blushing "Cute Fennekin.". "Thanks." Serena blushed, I went back to grooming Fletchinder, Fletchinder seemed to enjoy it, eventually the class was over. Everyone groaned because it was pretty fun. "Ash! What do you have for second period?" Serena said catching up to me, "umm, let me check." I replied and I looked at my schedule. Battling. "I got battling, what do you have?" I asked. "Oh, battling is my third period, I have Evolution education.." Serena replied "Oh well.." I sighed "See ya at lunch"
I just walked away to the field for battling, WAIT did I SIGH about Serena not being in my class?! I have been here for not even a full day and most of the time I have been thinking about Serena! What's with me? Well anyways I might as well get outside to the field.
"Hey it's the new kid!" Someone said, I looked behind me, there was a group of kids, more specifically there was 5. "I'm Gary." Gary said.
"And I'm Clemont!" Clemons said
"I'm Barry!" Barry said
"I'm Kenny!" Kenny said
"I'm Paul." Paul said "Oh, I'm Ash!" I replied. "Nice to meat ya, Ashy-boy!" Gary said putting out his hand. "Ashy-boy?" I sweat dropped while shaking his hand. "Yeah, I like to give nicknames, anyways you heading outside for battling?" Gary asked. "Yeah, do you guys have battling as well?" I asked "Yep" Kenny replied "Well I'm up for any challenge!" I said with confidence, "well lets get going, cause it's gonna start soon!" Barry said while running out the door, everyone else and I ran outside.
"Ok class, I'm Professor Rowan, I'm the battling teacher" Rowan said. "Today we will just be doing some battling, noting to special" Rowan added. "Ok then! Greninja, I choose you!" I said while throwing Greninjas ball into the air. "NinJA!" Greninja exclaimed "Ok Blastoise!" Gary said, and Blastoise landed on the ground. "TOISE!!" It roared, "Woah! A Blastoise!" I said, "Feelin' jealous, Ashy-boy?" Gary smirked "What?! No way!" I yelled. "Ok class, you find 1 partner and battle them!" Rowan said. "Gary!" I pointed at Gary. "Prepare to get beaten Ashy-boy! Your gonna need another pair of pants after this!" Gary said "That's what you think! Now, Greninja! Water Shuriken!" I exclaimed. Greninja formed multiple water shurikens and threw them all out at Blastoise. "Blastoise! Rapid spin!" Gary said, Blastoise started spinning rapidly, deflating all the water shurikens and kept going, hitting Greninja. "Greninja! Are you ok?!" I asked, Greninja was in the ground, hurt badly. "N-NinJA!!" Greninja hollared, it quickly got up at rapidly attacking Blastoise, Greninja was enraged. "NINJA!!!!" Greninja yelled and kept attacking without order. "Greninja calm down!!" I yelled, Greninja jumped back, breathing heavy. "Greninja? Are you ok?" I asked."N-Ninja..." Greninja said, I only realized now that Blastoise was knocked out. "Dang, Ashy-boy that was pretty amazing!" Gary said while returning Blastoise. "Yeah it was pretty
cool, but it's not like Greninja to just go on a rampage like that.." I replied. "Ok class did everyone finish their battles?" Rowan said "Yes!" Everyone replied. "Well get to your next period!" Rowan said. I started into the building, I wonder how Serena's doing? There I go again, thinking about Serena, but then I came to a logical conclusion....
Did I like Serena?!
