The sounds of a mother's wails pierced the air like an arrow, tears ran down her cheeks and she clenched her fists until she drew blood, the two maids beside her wore panicked expressions as they tried desperately to help her to the best of their abilities.

"Mistress, you will be fine, you do not need to panic, everything will be fine!"

But the maid's tone of voice suggested the complete opposite. The poor woman's eyeballs were rolling wildly in their sockets, blood-red lines were visible against the white, and the light in her pupils were slowly fading out. There was nothing anyone could do, it was an inevitable fate, her life was slowly coming to an end...

An aura of negativity formed in the room, starting from the three who were in there, there was panic and a slight amount of frustration. The darkness was spreading, even the servants around the mansion and the wealthy Master could feel it clouding their minds, every bit of joy absorbed by the darkness and leaving no trace behind. It was a very depressing feeling... therefore no one saw the shadow that sneaked right by them, heading straight for the source of the negativity.

One can clearly see the pain and torture that the mother was going through, they do not even need to hear her cries to understand, just her face. Gradually, her screams became slightly softer, but the pained expression on her face did not change. Her eyelids squeezed shut in pain, she drew ragged breathes, each one becoming weaker by the second..

until...

...

......

.........

......

...

"Where..where am I..?"

Her eyelids unsealed by a crack, and her eyes were greeted by an almost blinding white light. She was standing in a spotlight, with nothing but darkness all around her. Thick. Empty. Blackness..

"H-hello..? Is anybody there?"

Her head swung in any and every direction, bright ocean-blue eyes frantically searched the darkness for any signs of life, beads of sweat begun to form on her forehead and an aura of nervousness quickly formed around her. There was nothing, she couldn't tell if it was hot or cold, not even the movement of air can be felt, she couldn't sense anything in there, just unending darkness...

and worse,

the silence......

It stretched on and on, one could even hear an ant's sneeze in there, except that there were no ants either. What was even stranger was the fact that she couldn't recall how she even got here, or even what happened before...

She sat down on her knees, feeling utterly hopeless about her situation and wanting desperately  to cry.

~~~~~
Suddenly, a sound came from behind her, it was the sound of...
 a light sheet being dragged across the floor..?
She quickly turned around, forgetting that she was still sitting and promptly fell onto her bottom, she squinted her eyes until they adjusted to the darkness, and then immediately widened them in alarm.
"Who- who's there?!"
Her mind screamed at her muscles to run, and take her as far away as they could, but they disobeyed, leaving her to just stay there and look at the dark figure slowly emerging from the shadows. When the figure stepped into the light, the woman noted that it was wearing a very dark cloak, but it wasn't made of any fabric that she had ever seen, it was as if.. the cloak was made of the very darkness itself..
