When I got back to the cell block, everyone was awake. They were eating breakfast. Carl was sitting down with Hershel, Glenn, Maggie, Beth and the baby. I was worried about Carl. He had a bowl of cereal in front of him but he wasn't eating. I went and grabbed a bowl for myself. I longed for some nice cold milk to go with this cereal. But that wasn't going to happen. Daryl was eating, which I was happy about. I stood there looking at them all. We were all quiet. Suddenly the creaky gate that led to the rest of the prison opened and Rick walked in. Looking clean and not bloody. We all looked at him.

"Rick?" I said.

He looked at me then at my arm.

"I'm sorry about that," he said.

"It's nothing," I replied.

"Everybody okay?" he asked turning to look at the rest of the group.

He made his way to Carl.

"Yeah, we are," Maggie replied.

"What about you?" Hershel asked.

"I cleared out the boiler block," he said.

"How many were there?" Daryl asked.

"I don't know. A dozen. Two dozen. I have to get back. Just wanted to check on Carl and Amelia," he said.

I put my bowl down and made my way to him.

"Rick, let us take the bodies out for you," I said.

"Yeah. We can handle taking out the bodies. You don't have to," Glenn said coming to stand by us.

"No, I do," Rick said in a serious tone.

He then walked to where Daryl was sitting.

"Everyone have a gun and knife?" he asked Daryl.

"Yeah. We're running low on ammo, though," Daryl replied.

"Maggie and I were planning on making a run this afternoon. Found a phone book with some places we can hit, look for bullets and formula," Glenn said.

"We cleared out the generator room. Axel's there trying to fix it in case of emergency. We're gonna sweep the lower levels as well," Daryl said.

"Good. Good," was all Rick said as he made his way back to the gate.

"Rick," Hershel called out.

But Rick was gone. Again. I went up to Glenn.

"Hey you guys mind if I join in that run of yours? I need some space from this place," I said looking at both Glenn and Maggie.

"Have you cleaned your wound?" Glenn asked.

"No," I replied.

"Clean it first and then we can go," Maggie said getting up to put her bowl next to mine.

"Alright," I said.

I then grabbed the peroxide. I unwrapped it slowly. I winced once I got to the bottom. The pain was coming back to me. The last bits of the bandage were covered in blood.

"Here," Daryl said suddenly while he reached for my arm.

His touch sent shivers down my spine.

"You know it looks much worse than you led on. Looks like it may need stitches. You sure you wanna go on that run?" he said.

"Daryl, I'm fine. It's not so deep for me to need stitches. Hershel said it could heal without them. Let me just clean it so that I can go with Glenn and Maggie, okay?" I said.
