A shout of frustration as a bullet misses it's, again.

"Why must I learn this, Mother?" A small voice asked the approaching and disappointed Talia.

"Because, how are you to defeat your foe if their skills are that of greater then your own?" Talia's voice remained steady as she knelt down to the small child.

"But Mother, my skills are greater then almost everyone I have faced. When am I to use a gun if I do not have the need for it?" The child grew tired of this speech, day in, day out.

"You may have defeated those you come against here, but what about out there?" Talia gestured to the mountains out a window at the other end of the room. "If you can not use a gun, you will not leave this room" Talia's voice grew stern but relaxed. Her hand touched the gun and pulling the child to face the target. She helped the child raise the gun and aim, Talia let go to give the little one full control of the weapon, as she stepped away.

BANG

One shot was fired as the projectile hit it's target. A smile grew across the child's face as she turned to face her Mother. Talia stood there, gesturing for her very pleased child to fire again.
Another loud shot rang through the room, echoing of the cold stone walls as the target was hit again. Confidence grew within the small girl as she continued to fire. Her pleased Mother grew impressed at how fast the skill was picked up.

After going through the bullets in the gun, the child went to pick up another load but was stopped. Her Mothers hand grabbing her wrist to get her attention.

"Is something wrong, Mother? You seem distressed" What came next surprised the girl entirely. Talia dawned a smile to the girl as she pulled the girl into a hug.

"Well done, Hope. You have proven your worth." Hope's eyes began to water as she dropped the gun and deepened the hug, burrowing her face face into Talia's stomach. She didn't wish her Mother to see she was showing weakness, but it became impossible to hide once Talia pulled away and crouched down.
Hope turned away quickly to hide the tears flooding her eyes. Talia spun her around and swept away the stray tears that had made it out.

"It is okey to cry my dear" Talia's voice softened and showed understanding of her child's pain and confusion. "Come, I must show you something" Talia stood up straight again and walked through the halls with Hope by her side. They approached spiral stairs and Hope stopped.

"What is the meaning of bringing me here, Mother? Grandfather never let me come down this far" Her face grew confused and she felt uneasy about coming any further into the mountain.

"Your Grandfather is no longer here, you are fully aware of this. But your determination to follow his orders, even after his death is very pleasing" Hope perked up after hearing those words, but still didn't move forward. "You have been given permission to enter this part of the mountain, for now you are ready, as per his instructions" Hope moved forward without a word.

........................................................................

The darkness made it difficult to identity what was a step and what was even ground. Hopes eyes darted to the dim emerald light at the bottom. Hope walked faster in order to see what it was, as she jumped the final 6 steps her Mother followed closely behind.

Hopes royal blue eyes widened to see a Lazarus pit.

"Go ahead, have a closer look, after all it is yours" Talia's voice echoed through the chamber as Hope stepped forward. She reached her hand out over the pit to feel heat radiating off it.

"Mother? When am I to meet my Brother and Farther?" Hopes question wasn't answered until she turned around to see her Mother furious. "Mother?"

"You will meet them soon enough, my child" my child?

"Yes Mother, it will not be brought up again" Talia relaxed at hearing that, she knew Hope kept her word.

.......................7 DAYS LATER.......................

Hope walked to her sleeping quarters to find a uniform waiting upon her bed. A note left on top.

Get changed and come to the Lazarus pitonce you are finished.

After reading note left there by her Mother, she proceeded to inspect the new uniform.
After putting it on, Hope noticed it was much like her Mother's, the differences being: less exposing in the chest area, no sleeves, and no heels on her boots.

"Odd, I would have thought that Mother would have given me something more similar to hers. As well as some weapons to complete the assassin look that everyone wears" Hopes ankle length chestnut hair had been braided in order for it stay out of the way, her pail skin was enfisized by the black, armored leather of the suit, her boots came up to mid calf with straps and pockets to hide knives and guns, her figure and facial fractures  were much like her Mothers.
"I better see what Mother would like before she gets cross" she turned to the door and began to walk down the hall as snow started to fall outside.

........................................................................

The moment Hope entered the room where the Lazarus pit laid, she nearly burst into tears to see her Mother lying in the Lazarus pit.

"Who did this to you Mother?" Hopes voice was a little shaky but more startled.

"Your Farther and Brother" The words needed to set Hope off.

"They will pay for what they have done to you. To think that I thought Brother cared for you Mother, but I was wrong, I was very wrong. Tell me where to find them and I will mount their heads on spikes and feed there inner organs to the dogs. I will deliver the revenge required and I will not hesitate" Hopes voice filled with anger and powered by revenge, made her Mother smile deeply as she rose from where she rested.

"You shall, Hope. We shall" Talia pulled the child out if her thought as she corrected herself. Hopes royal blues sparkled at the reaction her Mother gave.

They both walked side by side up the stairs, as they both shared a thought.

"How could I have loved either of them"

W/N: 1- If you don't know why Talia would have needed to use the Lazarus pit, then watch Batman Bad Blood. It shows the reason at the end of the movie.
Though if you don't know about Damian being Bruce's son then watch Son Of Batman. Even the shows what's going to happen.
As for this part, I hope it was enjoyed by others as much as I liked it while writing, well typing.
Until we meet again, readers.
