Savannah's POV
"Ready to go?" Nate asked as I came to the door
"All ready"
It's been about two weeks since we made the team and most days we are going to practice. Brooke is still here but is spending the day with Brayden.
"Can we go out for lunch after?" I asked Nate
"No"
"Why" I whined while dragging out the y
"Maybe I don't want to" you could hear the playfulness to his tone
"Nate" I still whined this time dragging out the e
"Okay, okay fine. But maybe we should go through the drive thru. I don't think the cashier would appreciate it too much if we're all sweaty"
"Okay as long as we go to McDonalds"
"You're love for McDonalds" Nate laughed shaking his head and I grinned.
"Is right now stronger than my love for you"
"What?" Nate placed his hand over his heart "I am hurt"
"I kidding! But I do seriously love McDonalds"
We pulled into the park and I grabbed my cleats from the backseat before jogging to a bench to put them on, Nate sat beside me and put his on before we made our way to the field where we started with a couple laps. When we were done Nate went in net for me to take a couple shots before we switched so he could. From there we did corner kicks and throw ins along with a couple drills with me defending him as he tried to score. Before we knew it we had been here for three hours and we were both starving.
"I think that's good for today" I said out of breath
"Yeah, let's go get your McDonalds"
"I love you"
"I love you too princess"
We walked to the bench where we removed our cleats and slipped on our slides and made our way back to the car. I looked at the screen in car to see The Vamps' All Night playing. I turned the volume up before belting out into song
"I been up all night, no sleep
Cause I feel like I'm always dreaming
All night, no sleep
Cause I feel like I'm always dreaming
Wide awake, that's okay, as long as I'm with you
I'll be up all night, no sleep
Cause I feel like I'm always dreaming
Whoa, as long as I'm with you
Cause I feel like I'm always dreaming"
Nate joined in too and we sung together. I heard cars honking and suddenly we were hit by something. That was the last thing I remember before everything went black.
