Chapter 4

Melody's POV

I heard footsteps coming towards my bedroom door,I kinda knew it was my mom.She was angry,beyond furious with me.I mean it's just a party!So what I went from an A to a C in english,its not that bad!

"Your father and I have decided not to take you phone and laptop away but you can't go anywhere for a week."she said.I don't care about a week as long as I can keep my phone.

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping,I loved how that sounded.I went downstairs to go eat some breakfast and saw a note on the counter from my mom.

Dear kids,

I am on a business trip for a week.Your father had to work early so he won't get off until 7pm.You can have some friends over as long as you clean up after yourselves.

I saw my brother come downstairs.

"Hey!Why'd you snitch on me!?"I asked

"Because you're my sister and I don't like you"he said in an obvious tone.I threw a pillow at him.

"Ow!"he says plopping down on the couch.

"I'm inviting Jake over"I said going up to my room.

I texted him and asked if he wanted to come over.

To babe😘-hey you wanna come over

From babe😘-I can't right now but call me I have something to say

I called him and he answered on the third ring.

"Hello?"he said

"Hi"

"Uh I think we should take a break.."he said.At first I couldn't hear him.

"W-Why?"I asked with a crack in my voice

"I'm sorry.I just don't think I can do this anymore"he said then hung up.

I just wanted to lay in bed all day listening to music and crying.What kind of person breaks up with someone over the phone!?

I needed somebody to comfort me.I called Alexa.

"Hey can you come over"I asked

"Yeah why?"she said

"Jake dumped me"I said crying

Later I heard a knock on the door.My brother answered it and let her in.

"Why'd he break up with you!?"she asked

"I don't know.He sad he couldn't deal with the relationship anymore."I said

"That guy is so stupid!"she said

"Boys are just stupid.."I said crying some more

"Aww Melody don't cry,its ok."she said hugging me "he's just a stupid boy"she said

Here we go again!I was gonna be that one girl eating ice cream while watching Netflix all over again.Although it was fun I just hated being single.

Alexa stayed with me so that u wouldn't be lonley.Shes my favorite friend,shes always there hen I need her.I hate boys,I swear I'm never falling in love again.
