PROLOGUE:
I remember that day. Bad. My parents were writing a book. Never finished. They never let anyone read it. Even me. Expect anyone who was editing or reviewing it. I only know one thing: there were good characters. They talked about a girl. Morely. I don't know much about her. But when there's good, there must be bad. There was on, Mason. Don't know much about him. Then there's Sofia. She worked somewhat like a dreamcatcher. But instead of catching bad dreams, she caught good.
People say my parents died in a car accident, but i don't believe them. I think it was something worse. I think it had something to do with their book. It was strange. It was about bad things.
In the book, Morely, the girl my parents always talked about was like a guardian angel. She watched over everyone. But there was one person that she devoted her life to. But i don't know who...this is where the book stopped before the accident...

I ran through the forest, not looking back. I knew if I did I would see just what I didn't want to see in the reflection in the lake--me terrified. I kept running until I reached the big tree by the lake. I sat down and started crying. I was scared and tired, so i soon fell asleep.
I must've been crying in my sleep, because I woke up to someone's voice.
"I'm so sorry, Alexa, but you need to understand. What I've been saying is true," my Aunt Mindy said calmly.
"I don't believe you. Nothing happened to them! They just aren't back from the trip yet," I said with tears welling up into my eyes.
"Oh, sweetie," Aunt Mindy said, sobbing. She held me in her arms. I couldn't handle the thought that my parents were dead.
"Only in high school. Sixteen years old. Just a baby," she mumbled. I looked around. We were in my Aunt Mindy's mansion of a house. She sat down on her huge bed, crying.
"Alexa, your Uncle Connor will be here any minute to bring us food. Chinese, is that alright?" she said pulling herself together. I nodded.

School. School is horrifying. I have no friends, and now since my parents died, everyone is talking about me. Its not very common that people's parents die while their child is in high school. When i walk into a room, it suddenly becomes silent. But I don't care what people think of me. Now I am staying with my aunt. She is helping me get throught this terrible time in my life. I am glad that my aunt took me in instead of letting me go to an orphanage.
My aunt got all of my parents things because my parents didn't write a will. My aunt let me take whatever I wanted. I guess she felt bad for me. The one thing I really wanted was the book they were writing.
At first I didn't know if I should read it or not because I felt I would be disobeying them even if they were dead. They never let me read it. I chose not to read it. It would be too painful.
