"No amount of coffee can cure this tiredness " grumbling I slip out of bed the smell of coffee hitting my nose. Walking to my dresser I grab my headphones putting them on playing the songs downloaded on my iPod. Blaring the music into my ears I walk out my room in my black night gown. There's a small clatter of plates, the sound coming from the kitchen. Even with headphones I'm able to hear it. Feeling a yawn coming on I cover my mouth and walk the yawn still loud, smiling a bit I walk into the kitchen. Looking up from cooking my mom let's out a small morning knowing I can't really hear her. Waving my hand a bit I sit at the table drinking the glass of orange juice placed there by a plate of breakfast. Looking at the eggs and pancakes I grab my fork wolfing them down hungrily, letting out a belch when I finish. Pulling my headphones down and around my neck I pause my music to look at my father who laughs. " I used to wish for a son before you where born, but now I don't think I even have a young lady." Raising my hand I point a finger at him " I'm a special breed of girl who has some guy tendencies okay. In other words you get what you get and yah don't throw a fit Kay dad " he let's out another laugh. His usual stern nature gone when he talks to me and mom, " your absolutely right Niki " my mom chimes in. My father sits at the table casting a glance at my mom " oi who's side are you on here dear " my mom chuckles. Smiling I stretch getting up and putting my headphones back on " so I start school today right." My parents nod making me fake sigh " and on my birthday too how upsetting " my parents snort in amusement. Smiling I put a hand in the air waving a bit " haha I know I'm so funny that you can't speak right. Well I'm going get dressed to set off to the prison you guys call school, remember me the way I was." Putting an arm on my forehead I act dramatically letting out a huge sigh " just go get dressed crazy kid ." My dad calls after me making me laugh "sure thing dad " walking into my room I shut the door softly. After shutting the door I put down my iPod and headphones before pulling off my nightgown. Putting the nightgown in the hamper I go into my closet to get today's outfit "no school uniform needed. Now that's a good school " I take one down and lays it on my bed looking it over "hmmm perfect."

After changing into my outfit I slip on some boots and grab my headphones putting them around my neck. Slipping the iPod into my pocket I walk out my room being handed my bag by my mom who's waiting. Smiling I kiss her cheek and walk past her hugging my dad Who kisses my cheek "have a good day." I walk out the house and head off in the direction of school my body feeling strange.
