Epilogue
A girl in a pale blue dress walked happily along the deck of a ship. She was with her fiance and they had been together for four years now. It was his eyes, as she remembers, that got her attracted to him. They were an interesting shade of blue- her favorite.
"Tiffany, we need to talk."
"Yes?" She bobbed her head to the side and looked at him with curiosity.
"Tiffany, I know this isn't the right time but thank you for the past four years. You were always there for me. You always had my back. You stood by my side when I had no one else to support me. You gave me your time and your brightest smile. You gave me strength, happiness, hope and....love." He looked down and placed his hands in his pockets. He was silent for a while.
"Jeff?" He was still staring at the ground, refusing to look at her.
"Jeffrey? What's wrong?" She was fidgeting over her bracelet- the one he gave her during their first anniversary. She knew something was wrong.
"Tiffany, for three years I have loved you with all my heart but-"
"Three years? Jeff we have been together for four years now. Have you forgotten?"
"No, I haven't." He looked far away, to the ocean. He remembered how they'd first met. Four years ago he was with his friends on a vacation. He remembered falling of a ship and struggling to breath. Back then he did'nt know how to swim and it was her who saved him.
"Look Tiffany, I did love you for three years but as time passed by I realized that you weren't the one for me. Sofia... I love Sofia, not you. I'm sorry for-"
"Why now."
"Why now?"
"Jeff you could have broken up with me a year ago. Why now? You should have saved yourself from all this regret." Tears had began falling. She felt as if needles were poking her heart. Like someone was squeezing it and it was painful.
"I'm sorry Tiffany. I really am." His voice held no emotions.
"How could you? How could you let someone who loves you so much believe that you love them back? You held on to that lie for one year Jeff. One year! You even acted as if you loved me. How could you?"
"I'm sorry."
"No Jeff, don't be sorry. I trusted you. It was my mistake."
With that she walked over to the edge and with one last look at him, she jumped.
