He heard the wails of a child. His son had been born. He listened for the heartbeats of his newborn son and his wife, but he only heard the one. He looked at his wife in tears. His anchor had been killed. He howled in the night. Mostly out of anger and sadness, but also out of distress. He couldn't raise this child. The wind blew a foul stench that he knew to be a Druid. He turned to face the Druid. "Can I help you?!" He flicked his claws out and bared his fangs. The Druid pointed to the child. "That boy will spend his time with us. He is destined to lead all supernatural beings." He looked at his son. There was a smile playing on his lips. "I can't give you my son." The Druid frowned. "Then you have chosen to die." He put his hands up in defense. "I can't let you take him without naming him!" The Druid smirked. "Very well, name your child, Deucalion." He looked at his son one last time as he placed him in the Druid's arms. "Lukas." The child opened his eyes to reveal his blood red irises. Deucalion took the body of his former alpha, his wife and buried her. He set off on his journey to build a new pack, an Alpha Pack.
