A year has passed. I am spending my summer with my boyfriend Ethan in his hometown of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. We have been dating for six months. Audrey and I are video chatting on Skype while Ethan is with his parents and brother.

"So, how have you and Ethan been?" Audrey asks.

"Umm," I say.

"What? Is something wrong?" Audrey asks.

"Well, he has not been spending time with me. Only his parents and brother. I have tried talking to him but he refuses to listen," I say.

"Really?" Audrey asks.

I nod slowly.

"Weird. Do you want me to talk to him for you?" Audrey says.

"No. This is something I should do since I am his girlfriend," I say.

"Good point," Audrey says.

"Yeah," I say, sighing.

"He will listen to you. Tell him it is urgent. He will fall for it," Audrey says.

"Okay. Thank you," I say.

"No problem," Audrey says.

An hour later, Ethan comes home with his parents and brother. They were laughing as I was in the guest room crying. Ethan walks in.

"Hey, babe," Ethan says.

I look over at Ethan.

"Woah. You okay?" Ethan says.

"No!" I yell.

"What is wrong?" Ethan asks.

"You never spend time with me! Only your family!" I yell.

Ethan swears under his breath.

"Oh, babe. I am so sorry," Ethan says.

I stare at Ethan.

"How about this? Tomorrow, you and I spend the whole day together. We will do whatever you want," Ethan says.

"Really?" I ask.

"Yes," Ethan says.

"I would love that," I say.

"Alright, babe. Now wipe those tears," Ethan says.

I wipe my tears.

"Why did you not tell me before?" Ethan asks.

"You refused to listen to me when I tried to talk to you," I say.

"Oh, babe. I am so sorry," Ethan says.

I hug Ethan. He hugs me back. The next day, Ethan takes me to the local county fair because I love fairs.

"Oh my gosh, Ethan! I love you!" I scream, hugging him.

"Love you too, babe," Ethan says, returning the hug.

I saw so many rides and games. I was like a kid in a candy shop. I walk over to a game. Ethan follows me.

"Welcome, my love, to the Knock That Milk Jug over. Three balls are three bucks and five balls are five bucks," the stand person says.

Ethan gives the stand person five bucks. The stand person hands me five balls. I knock three sets of milk jugs over.

"You get a large prize, my love," the stand person says.

I choose a large beige teddy bear with a blue scarf around its neck. We get in line for the Ferris Wheel. After the Ferris Wheel, we go to the local outlet mall for lunch and shopping. We find the food court and get in line for pizza.
