The One Who Saved Us

Chapter 2

Dawn's POV

I ran out from my room bumping into an servent.

''Oh! Sorry Miss Cliff!'' I said to the woman who was in chock.

''It's okay dear!'' She answered me with a smile. I smiled back.

I just couldn't be not happy today! I felt a rush inside me that just made me wanna fly!

But well, I can't fly... Trust me I actually tried!

You probably think that I'm totally crazy, but I'm just kind of positive!

This is the loveliest thing that has happend to me since my father passed away. I just love the fact of being a queen.

I stopped running down the hall, and walked to a window. The town looked so happy and peacefull. There were colors everywhere!

And I just love how everyone seems so cheerful today. But I guess I'm the cheerfullest of them all.

I ran to the long stairs and glided on the railing all the way down.

I know that it's not so very 'queeny' of me to act like this but come on! I just wanna have fun and who can stop me?

A servent walked up to me and said that it's time for the coronation cermony in the church.

The church was filled with people.

The whole cermony had went out perfect and I am finally queen. Well as soon the biskop calls out my name...

''Queen Dawn Of Follage!'' The biskop shouted from behind me.

I looked out on all the people. Royalty from everywhere had come to see my coronation.

''Queen Dawn of Follage!'' The people called out.

I couldn't help but smile. I'm finally queen.

But wait... What is that sound?

I heard a strange sound coming from outside. It sounded like drums and footsteps. Alot of footsteps. Coming this way.

I heard screaming and everyone panicked.

'What is happening?' I thought to myself. Everyone in the church had completly lost it. There were screaming and people running around everywhere.

''SHUT IT!'' I screamed as high as possible. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me.

I heard someone say that is was not very queen like to use that kind of language. Oh please?

''Don't panic! Me and the guards will go out and see what is going on!'' I said to the people.

''You? Your a 19 year old lady!'' A man from the back shouted.

''Yes me!''

I told one of my guards to hand me one of his swords. He had two.

He handed it to me and I started walking to the gates.

The quards followed me.

When I opened the gates I saw something horrible.

A few Grüds had secured their bouts at the harbor. And they were only like ten but they frighetend the people anyway.

The grüds had noticed me and they were all running towards me with their knifes and blades in the air.

I got into a fight with two of them but they truly are an easy match. Once all of them had been killed, there was one last that approched.

''Ashamed that no one exept grüds died today. What a luck Exalier is leading his forces this way, your Highness.'' He said with an evil grin. I got so mad at the creature so I swinged my sword right at his neck before anyone could even react. He fell to the ground dead.

''My Lady...'' A middle aged woman walked up to me. Worry all over her face. ''What did the creature mean? Is war coming to our lands?''

''I'm afraid that the answer is yes.'' I looked away from the woman and turned to my guards. ''Boys, we will need some troops. It's time to get ready for war.''

I'm never this serious... Well this is serious but... I act like I don't fear anything but in real life I fear the death of my people.

But that ain't going to happend. Not on my watch.
