It was the morning of the first day of school and the school jocks plus Noah Puckerman aka "Puck" and Finn Hudson were already throwing Kurt Hummel into the dumpster. There was no doubt that Kurt hated his life but he refused to let anyone see it. So he acted as though he had the most confidence in the world, and by the way how he dressed you could tell he had enough balls to come to school in the most fashionable girly outfits ever.

After the first lesson was finished Rachel Berry was spying on her glee coach Sandy Ryerson, helping a fellow member of the glee club sing the lead. For Rachel that was completly unacceptable. Rachel is the type of person that must get what she wants when it comes to show choir; she did whatever it took to get all the leads and was in all the plays to help her get on the Broadway. She saw Mr. Ryerson's hand caressing the student's abs while he sang. Rachel had to do something about it because she was a drama queen. She marched right down to the principal's office, Mr. Figgins, and bursted into tears and telling him every last thing she saw. Mr. Figgins decided to fire Mr. Ryerson and when Rachel heard the news she walked out with a big grin on her face. The way she roled was if she didn't get the part no one could.

Meanwhile, in the staff lounge Ken Tanaka (the football coach), Will Schuester (Spanish teacher) and Emma Pillsbury (Guidance counselor) were all sitting down eating their lunches. The thing about Ms. Pillsbury was that she had major O.C.D. She had to apply gloves and wipe off the table before she even put her food down. Ken Tanaka was absolutely mad over Emma, he didn't care about her problems but he wasn't romantic at all. Emma was in love with Will Schuester and his perfect butt chin. Ken hated to see Emma just sit and stare at Will glooming over him and still knowing that he was married. When Will heard that Sandy was fired the first thing that came to his mind was "Who's gonna take over Glee club?".

Mr. Schuester went straight to the principal's office to take over glee club. His heart sunk when Mr. Figgins told him he needed $60 a month and supervision of detention for free to keep up glee club. To Mr. Schuester glee club was actually worthit but... how was he going to keep this away from his stubborn, gold digging wife, Terri Schuester? He didn't know but he was willing to take that risk. Will started thinking of a new name for the glee club to get kids wanting to join and that's when he came up with "New Directions". It was PERFECT!

He put up flyers for auditions but everyone knew that glee club was only for losers and they didn't want want their reputations at risk or they would get slushied every single day until senior year and the cool kids were currently sophmores.

The first student to sign up was Mercedes Jones singing R-E-S-P-E-C-T. When Will heard her,he immediately thought of a fat beyonce. Her soulful voice enlighted the auditorium and her sense of fashion made her stand out even more. He didn't need to think about it because he already knew that she made it into glee club, she was born to be a soulful star.

The secnd student to sign up was Kurt Hummel singing Mr. Cellephane. Mr. Shuester was shocked when he heard the sound that came out of Kurt's mouth. He knew Kurt could sing due to the large size of his mouth but...DAMN...!!! He sounded like a glorious FEMALE angel. No wonder other guys used to dump him in the garbage because if you had ever heard him sing, you would hink he is gay. His ending note, oh, that ending note he held forever without even straining or gasping for breath.

Next up was Tina Cohen-Chang singing I kissed a girl. She was bad wih a stutter when she spoke but when she sang it was different. Schuester could tell she could sing but the song just didn't suit her voice. He still let her in because with just the right song she could be something really.

Next was Rachel Berry singing On my own. Mr. Schuester knew she was going to be something special because after she signed her name she put a gold star. It was something that she had always done whenever she wrote her name. When he heard Rachel sing... it was like he was watching a broadway movie live. Her voice was so strong and flowing like a real star, he knew that she would be the best person in glee club. It was rare that you wuld find a sophmre with a voice like that, so he took it to his advantage.
