Chapter 21

Harry is watering the flowers in his little shop when he hears his phone ringing.


It's Zayn.


He immediately picks up the call.


"Hey, babe." Zayn says from the other end.


"Hey, Zee." Harry is confused as to why Zayn is calling him when they are both working, okay, sorta working. He is about to ask but Zayn beats him to it.


"What do you think of inviting Liam and Niall to our place tonight?"


"I think it's fantastic!!! I haven't seen them for years!" Harry's face lights up, bouncing up and down like a child who just got a Christmas present.


He hears Zayn chuckle on the other side.


"Baby you are so cute. Anyway I think we should invite their lovers too."


Harry gasps. "Both of them are in relationships?"


"Actually, yes. Niall's girlfriend is a cool and pretty girl and Liam's boyfriend is a cute guy."


"Wait, wait a minute. Did you just say Liam has a boyfriend?" Harry is surprised. "I never thought Liam would be into boys. If anything, I thought Niall was the one who would like boys!"


Zayn laughed on the other side.


"I know right. I thought so too!"


Harry shakes his head and laughs with Zayn, "Never assume things. Anyway, I'll buy more food on my way home then."


A customer walks into the shop.


"I have a customer, gotta go."


"Okay, see you later, babe. I love you."


"I love you too." Harry says and hangs up.

By the time Harry reaches home, the guests had already arrived.


They are sitting on the living room with Zayn.


"Awww Harry! Did you bring enough food for me?" Niall is the first one to 'greet' Harry when he enters the living room.


Harry smiles at the Irish man, and showing the grocery bag on his hands he says, "Yes."


"Jeez, Liza! I don't know what you see in Niall. All he knows is how to eat." Zayn says to Niall's girlfriend, Liza.


Everyone in the room laugh, except for Niall who glares at Zayn. He steals the snack bowl from Zayn's hand, huffing, "You're not gonna eat this food then!"


Zayn shrugs, and goes to take the grocery bag from Harry's hands.


"Hi, Harry. I missed you." Liam hugs Harry.


"I missed you too, Liam."

"Where's my hug?" Niall pouts, opening his arms wide.


"I missed you too, Niall." Harry walks towards Niall and gives him a big hug.


And then the boys introduce Liza and Josh to Harry.


They had a fun night.


Harry cooked dinner. Niall devoured the food with a, "Oh my god, Harry! You don't know how much I have missed your cooking."


After dinner, they hang out in the living room. Cozying up on the couch, they catch up with each other, share their stories and laugh at some dumbass jokes.


Zayn feels really good hanging out with his best friends at his house, just like the old days, just like high school. Now all of them have their lovers by their side, Zayn really couldn't ask for more.


It feels really good to watch Zayn hanging out with his best friends again, just like the old days, like nothing has changed. And the only thing that has changed is that the three best friends have lovers now. Harry is really happy for them.


Oops, time passes so fast, and you can never get a hold of it.


But something never changes.


And you know what that something is— love.
