~7 Years Later~

Yin sighed as he looked around the Bullhead in disappointment, and reflected on the conversation he had with his mother a few months ago,

~Flashback~

"Yin" Yin turned to his mother as she chopped some tomato on a cutting board, they were both preparing dinner after a long day of training. Seeing that she got her son's attention Raven spoke what had been on her mind for awhile.

"What is your dream?" Yin blinked, confused causing Raven to elaborate, "What do you wish to accomplish in life.... What is your goal that you wish to strive for?"  Asked Raven waiting patiently for an answer.

"I want to be like you" Yin answered confidently causing Raven to turn to Yin with a raised eyebrow "You....wish to be like me?" Yin nodded "A Hunter?" Yin frowned slightly and shook his head, his hair swishing slightly with the movement.

"There's.... more to it then that..." Raven turned to Yin, who had also stopped cooking "Explain"

Yin paused before speaking, "History says that Huntsmen were created to combat against Mankind's greatest enemy, the creatures of Grimm. Yet, it seems like the purpose of the Huntsmen have been forgotten over time. Instead of focusing on Grimm, Huntsmen have taken part in wars, fights that don't even involve them. They've even taken sides in matters that shouldn't involve them to begin with." Yin frowned.

"It seems like the Huntsmen have lost their way. It's like they've become only weapons to be pointed at an enemy that shouldn't even be there rather than being what they were meant to be. I want to remind Hunter's what they really are. Warriors, warriors mean to fight and die for the protection of all life. Whether they are Human or Faunus, warrior's that if necessary, will have to kill even others of our own kind to protect this world. This world may be cruel... But I love this world, and I want to protect it."

(A/N: Those two paragraphs were taken from a another fanfiction that funnily enough is also call Branwen, please check it out, it partly inspired this fanfic and the first spar scene between Raven and Yin are also from that fic)

Raven looked at Yin, an approving glint in her eye, The way he spoke with such passion and devotion Raven couldn't help but agree with him, "Very well, my little blackbird....You'll be attending Beacon in a few months then....Better amp up your training"

~Flashback End~

Now here he was on a Bullhead heading towards the most famous and rumored best school for Hunters and Huntress, but couldn't help but feel underwhelmed, He had thought that there would be some serious kids who had trained their entire lives for this but all he saw was a bunch of brats who had no idea what the were getting them selves into.

He had thought that since his mother had come here and considering how powerful she was that this would be a very serious school, apparently not...

Yin's trail of thought was interrupted when when a loud voice,

"-Beacon with me, this is the best day ever!!" followed by a, "....please stop" Yin turned to see a young girl in a red hood and a older girl, about the same age as him, with golden blonde hair

"But I'm sooo proud of you!" The blonde one exclaimed while exiting the bone crushing bear hug she had the girl with the red hood in earlier, "Really Sis..... It was nothing..." Yin's eyes widened a fraction, They were sisters!  With a quick flash of Yin's Sharingan he did notice some similarities between them, eyes mainly, though the blonde's ones were a little more 'squintyer' perhaps half-sisters?

"What do you mean? It was incredible! Every one at Beacon is gonna think your the bee's knees!!" Yin's eyebrow rose, though you couldn't see because of his mask, why would Beacon think she was the 'bee's knees, as the blonde one so adequately put it.

"Look, I don't wanna be the 'bee's knees' ! Okay? I just want to be normal girl with normal knees" Yin frowned, why would she want to be normal? Normal people are boring. (A/N: No offence to normal people XD)

"What's with you?! Aren't you excited?" Asked the blonde one, "Of course I'm excited! I jus-.... I got moved ahead two years.... I don't wanna have people think I'm special or anything...." Yin almost choked, She was moved ahead two years!!

"But you are special..." Said the blonde one wrapping an arm around the other and Yin snorted mentally, no shit she was special, It was almost impossible to move ahead while training to a Hunter/Huntress. No one has even done it before!!

Yin was pulled from his mental rant by a news report appearing mentioning Roman Torchwick and the White Fang, Yin sighed. The White Fang, a terrorist organisation made up of Faunus. They used to be a peaceful protester organisation but now...... They weren't helping anyone anymore, really just making the matter worse.

Yin was interrupted from his inner musings, again, noticing everyone filing out of the Bullhead.

Fastening his sheathe and checking his armor, Yin head out as well.

~*~*~~*~*~

Yin stood in the middle of the large crowd of students, though it's more like the large crowd of students stood around him, as many were intimidated by Yin's overall appearance, aura (A/N: Not RWBY aura just 'normal' aura like what a person gives off, e.g: friendly or scary) or the fact he was wearing a Grimm mask, which all White Fang members wore as sign. Yin gave a small sigh when he recalled why his mother wore and made him wear the Grimm masks

~Mini Flashback~

"Hey Mum....?" Raven turned around and rose an eyebrow, indicating she was listening "Why do we even wear these masks?" Raven hummed and returned to walking and also began to speak "Well.... there great for intimidation.... and they look cool too" Yin stared wide eyed at Raven as she continued to get further and further away before shaking his head and running to catch up.

~Mini Flashback End~

Yin sweat dropped before turning his attention to the old man who had just walked on stage, "I'll... keep this brief" The Headmaster paused, took a deep breathe, and continued "You have traveled here today in search of knowledge - to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step."

Yin stood there wide eyed while some students around talked about how weird the speech was, But Yin knew better. Yin absolutely loved Philosophy and studied it intensely when he was young-ger and so, he could detect the hidden meanings behind his words and Yin's respect for the Headmaster, Ozpin. Had risen significantly.

As Ozpin walked away, he scanned the crowd before landing on me and a small amused smile slipped onto his face while a blonde woman walked up to the microphone.

"You'll gather in the Ballroom tonight. Tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You're dismissed" With that the Professor, Glynda Goodwitch left as well

Yin gave an excited smirk, tomorrow was gonna be fun
