Jughead and you were a couple for 2 years. The pronunciation is on were.
He broke up. After he got to know her better. And her name was Betty Cooper. And it hurted to see them. But you knew,they didn't have the same relationship as you and Jug did.
You had something special. You and Jug knew since kindergarten,and you practically knew everything about each other. No one wasn't really surprised,when you both got together.
And everyone was happy for you. You made each other's life better and we others knew it. But only one person didn't care. She wanted to be the one for Jughead.

And her name was Elizabeth Cooper.

She always wanted you to break up. But your love was too strong. Well. You thought.
Because after a while,Jughead started to talk to you less. And to go out,without you.
Not usual for him.
But you two were still happy. He made you happy. It made you happy to wake up next to him, to see him without his beanie and see him smile.

But after a while you knew there was something wrong. You wanted to meet up at pops,but he didn't arrive. Well,he arrived one hour late,and he obviously had other plans.
Because he was with Betty. And they kissed.
In this moment,you knew,why he acted so strange. He didn't want to hurt you,because he knew he was the one for you. So you just walked out of pops,passing with them. But they didn't notice you. You started burning every memory. Every picture. Every shirt that he left at yours. You deleted all pictures of you both. And it hurted,but you didn't care in this moment.
And in next time,you saw him with Betty more and more. They two obviously made it official. And everyone wondered what happened to you. But you just stayed silent. It would end worse,and you knew it.
And you also knew that something was wrong with Jughead. He acted weird when he was around with Betty. He didn't seem comfortable in the relationship. Maybe because Betty was the 'perfect girl next door' and he was the 'weirdo'. But it was his own fault. He wanted to be with Betty,not with you.
Maybe she didn't feel him feel the same feelings as he had for you. He may felt like she is not you. But it wasn't your business anymore.
Betty may didn't know nothing of Jug. What made him laugh,what made him feel good when he was sad. Nothing.
But you left it. After a while,you were over him. You talked with your friends,and they understood you. You still watched how the relationship between Jug and Betty was going.

And it really seemed like he noticed she wasn't you after a while..
