Hoseok's Pov:
I ran- past the guards at the front of the kingdom and way past the place I called home. How could I stay there?
Soon I found myself in the town. It was huge...
The town felt so foreign to me- I didn't know my way around but I guess that's expected since I haven't stepped foot outside the kingdom in 10 years.
Lord- where am I? There are so many paths and ways to go. As I walked further into the town I got a few glances. I tried my best to keep a smile on my face even though I was completely lost-
Is my mother worrying?
Probably-
--
I've been wondering for about a half and hour or so and wow-
The stores along the street had amazing toys and art. I was tempted to buy one but- with what money?
I'll travel down this road, then I'll turn around-
As I walked down the road I noticed it had less and less houses, stores and people- weird...
But the people that were there looked at me- I tried my best not to stare back. I just kept my head up and walked to the end of the road.At the end of the road, tall trees encased a forest like prison cell bars.
Don't go- she's probably worried sick about you!
Screw it-I cautiously entered the forest and kept track of the direction I went in-
So much for that. Every which way I turned- it all looked the same. Don't freak out- just look down for foot steps- yea that's it!
Maybe I was getting lightheaded or something- or maybe I was coming down with a cold but something seemed off- I definitely wasn't going the right way.
The footsteps just stopped-
I looked around but there it was again- the feeling. Everything looked the same.
"Ya! Hey! You!" I heard a voice call out.
What the hell?
I looked around a saw nothing- no one.
-
Suddenly I felt a tug on the shoulder and my body whipped around. I was face to face with a boy- he looked about my age but he had blonde hair. "What are you doing out here?" He asked. His voice sounded a bit harsh but I let it go.
"Yea...I'm sorry to bother you but do you know how to get out?" I asked. I felt my voice wanting to stutter.
"Calm down- I just met you and you think I'm going to help you?" He laughed a bit at the end. I felt my lips form a small frown and my brows knitted together a bit-
He must of noticed because he didn't hesitate to speak again-
"Fine- but if I ever see you again, I won't be shy- I'll call you out and you will owe me." His voice was monotone.
There- my lips formed a smile again and he started to walk. I followed.
---"So- what's your name?" I asked him. He walked in front of me but didn't look back as he responded.
"Yoongi. Min Yoongi-"
Yoongi...
Sweet name.
"What about you?" His voice was still monotone.
"Me? Oh I'm Ho-"
Will he know my name?
Does he know?
"I'm Hobi!" I said and smiled.--
A few minutes later and we were out of the forest- we walked past the part of town that was a bit more lower class- my mother always told me to stay away from lower class people but I feel bad.
While walking I noticed people smiling at Yoongi-
strange...
I brushed it off as we entered the part of town where they were selling all sorts of goods.
I felt my heart race as I saw the kingdom in the distance- I wanted to just say I lived in one of the shops that connected to someone's house but the guilt got to me.
"Where do you live? My legs are staring to hurt" Yoongi whined.
Ugh...not like I can just say-'I live in the kingdom- take me there'
What's the harm in letting someone know?
I just met him but strangely I trust him- he just gives off a certain vibe.
"I-..um... just go back home but meet me in front of the forest around noon tomorrow please? I'll still owe you but I- um...trust me" I pleaded and hoped he agreed.
I saw how he was trying to process what I said but in the end he looked at me and nodded.
Great.
As soon as he was out of sight I bolted home.
It was a challenge to get back into the kingdom but I got past the guards. I mentally prepared myself for what my mom was going to say- if she noticed I was even gone.
But to her- it was one thing to leave but it was a whole other situation to talk to someone out side the kingdom walls.
--
I ran upstairs and changed my clothes, whipped whatever sweat was on my face and waited a few minutes for my face pale up and not be so red.
I took a few deep breathes and walked out. I felt my heart beating against my rib cage as I got closer to my mothers room. The two guards looked at me and then at each other- they opened the door and my eyes met my mothers.
"Where have you been!?" She yelled. Even though she sounded a bit angry I saw the worry in her eyes.
"I was just outside in the backyard..." my voice trailed off.
"Don't be ridiculous Hoseok! I have had guards searching all over for you and they checked everywhere at the least 50 times! Now tell me where have you been?" She yelled again. At this point I was shocked that she didn't mention how my position as king could have been at risk but I let it go and tried to change the subject.
"I'm fine thanks for asking- I have been feeling a bit down all day and I went to the fountain to try and calm down- I guess the guards just missed me." I lied.
"I-" she spoke but couldn't find the words- I saw it in her face how she softened up.
"Come here-"
I walked to her and she opened her arms.
We hugged but she pulled away and placed a hand on my forehead.
"You don't seem to have a fever but to be safe- go to your room and rest- I'll have dinner sent up to you and if your awake you can eat but no worries if you don't- I don't want you throwing up."
As much as I love my mother- she is so controlling and I could possibly never forgive her for locking me up.
I nodded and she called for the guards to assist me up to my room.
This won't stop me from seeing Yoongi-
