"Oh come on, Ban!" Elaine yelled as Ban stumbled around, drunk. It was back in the Fairy Forest. Ban laughed and pulled Elaine into his arms. Suddenly the tree went dark. Elaine was dying in his arms, her gaze slowly going dull.
"Can you... Say it... One more time...?" Elaine rasped, cupping Ban's cheek in her hand.
"You got it... One day I'm going to ta..." He was cut off with a sigh from Elaine, her hand falling onto Ban's leg. A single tear hit her hand.
"Let me finish, dammit..." Ban choked out.
Ban sat straight up in bed, panting. His eyes were wide and frightened. He sighed and shut his eyes. Ban rubbed his temples as he sighed again. Ban got up and put his jacket and shoes on. He went down into the bar then went outside. A gentle breeze blew by as the sun peeked over the horizon. Ban sat on the deck and leaned against the BoarHat wall. He rested his head on the wall, looked up, and sighed.
"I'm sorry... Elaine..." Ban mumbled, shutting his eyes.
"There's no need to apologize, Ban..." A voice said. Ban's eyes snapped open as he stood up. He walked out into the grass and looked around. Ban sighed and shook his head.
"I'm hallucinating... It's too early..." He mumbled. He looked out at the sun and went back inside.
"You're up early," Merlin said as Ban came in through the door. She was sitting at a table. Ban frowned and sat at the bar.
"The hell do you want, Merlin?" Ban growled. Merlin stood up and walked over to Ban.
"I simply pointed out that you're awake this early," Merlin said, sitting next to him. Ban glared at Merlin for a moment, then looked away and used Snatch on a bottle of ale. He caught the bottle and opened it, drinking it down. Merlin stood back up and walked back upstairs. Ban grumbled a couple words and soon fell asleep at the bar.
{Three hours later...}
As Meliodas walked down into the bar, he noticed Ban asleep on the floor. He smiled and shook his head. He walked over and flicked him in the forehead.
"Mmm... Oww..." Ban growled as he slowly opened one eye. Ban rubbed his forehead and sat up.
"The hell was that for, Cap'n...?" Ban asked, yawning.
"To wake you up, dumbass," Meliodas chuckled, crossing his arms. Ban used a stool to pull himself up. He stretched and yawned again.
"Good morning, Sir Meliodas and Sir Ban!" Elizabeth chimed. Meliodas looked over and smiled. Ban simply glanced over and nodded. King floated downstairs, hugging his pillow. Diane, Gowther, and Merlin followed soon after.
"Hey, Ban, you gonna make breakfast or what?" King asked. Ban rolled his eyes and shoved King away.
"Ok ok, god damn," Ban growled. He walked into the kitchen and started to cook.
