*Chapter Two*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The whole time I was walking home, I was thinking of those few words that, that wicked girl said. I had no idea what she meant, but I could tell that it wasn't good, But who actually knew? She could have just been trying to freak me out.
All of a sudden I felt a creepy sensation, like someone of some thing was watching me. I turned slowly, not seeing anything. But I swore something was there.
Deciding not to worry about it, I started walking again. Then the feeling was gone. It had to be in my head. Maybe because I was thinking of her, and maybe I should stop. So I did. And it caused me to get home faster.
When I walked through the door, my mom was sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Harry, hun can you come here?" She said as I made my way over to her, setting the files I had on the coffee table. "Watch this."
She had the TV paused, so she unpaused it. It was the news. My heart was beating very hard, as I seen the picture of that girl. Everywhere I went, she seemed to be.
'Caraline Winters convicted into Broadwell Mental Institution. She was very welcomed by the owner, but will she be welcomed by others?'
My mom paused the TV again and looked at me, My eyes were glued to the TV, seeing the face of Caraline in my head. Thinking of her holding that knife. Thinking of her sitting there in my office. Thinking about what's going to happen in the morning when I have to see her. Just thinking. My mom pushed me slightly as I looked at her.
"Harry, you work there," I slowly nodded at my mother, like she was dumb. "And she is there." Again I nodded. "What if she hurts you, Harry?"
"Mom, she's not." I hope,,
"Harry, you don't know that though!"
"Why are you raising your voice at me mom? I am going to be fine! I have worked there for 7 years, and I haven't been hurt yet. Only emotionally." My mom sighed and rolled her eyes.
"I don't even know why I try with you." She mumbled.
"Whatever. I'm going to go to bed."  I said, getting up and walking to the hall, with my files.
"Can you get me my pills first? Since you won't listen to me about anything else?" She yelled after me.
"You know what?" I started, turning back to look at her. "You are so damn hopeless. You can't get up and get what you need, but I can? No. I'm done being your little maid. I have been off of work for 4 weeks because you had to have surgery, and the doctor said 'In two weeks she will be fine to get up and walk around.' But it's been four weeks, and you still haven't gotten up! Are you just that fucking lazy?" I yelled.
All my mother did was sit there and sigh.
"Harold," She started. "I am giving you three days to move out."
"Good, I was going to leave anyways." I said walking into my room and slamming the door.
Me and my mom have never had a good relationship, but I have never said anything like that to here. But at the moment, I wasn't sorry for what I said. So, to get my mind off of it, I decided to try to get to sleep.
I turned out all the lights and layed down. Slowly my eyes fluttered shut.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The sound of thunder woke me up, causing me to shoot straight up. It was so dark in the room that I didn't see anything. I felt like the darkness was swallowing me whole. I reached over and switched on my lamp. My eyes went directly over to the file.

Should I look at it?

Without hesitating, I stood up. My toes curled at the cold ground, which instantly sent shivers down my spine. Making my over to it, my phone lit up, reveling a message.

From SISTER MARY: Harold, we need you to come in right now if that's okay with you. Hope I didn't wake you.

Why would she be texting me at 4 in the morning?

I sighed and walked over to my closet, pulling on some regular clothes. When I turned back around, I looked at the file again. Before I went anywhere I had to read it. I walked over to the table it sat on and started reading it. My eyes scanned her picture before anything. She creeped me out.

Caraline Leigh Winters

Ripped her boyfriends head in half, prints show that she gripped her hands into his mouth and pulled. Afterwards, she pulled out his eyes and set them on fire

I closed the file, sighing. She was really insane, but that's why she's at the institution. And now when I go in, I probrably have to face her. That was one of the things that I didn't want to do, but it's my job. I have to get over it and go on with the day like a normal person. So, I pulled on my shoes, grabbed my phone, and left the house into the dark abyss that people call the world.
