"Ew YUCK, Caitie!" my friends and I shriek. "How long have you had a crush on my brother?" I ask. Caitie blushed and smiled. "Since your swimming party in Year Six." she squeaked. I gagged. Who would fall for a guy who pushes and shoves his sister everywhere, steals her food at school and flirts with their teachers?
"I can't help it! He's got those electric green eyes great jawline," Caitlin exclaims. We all roll our eyes, laughing. "Well, please don't do anything romantic while I'm in L.A!" I squeal. "She won't be doing anything, trust me. She's too good looking for that snob." Ella tells me, as she gets up to get us a drink.
"I still can't believe you're leaving Cali!" Kiarra pouts. I couldn't believe it either. Travelling alone for the first time, starting an independent life in an entirely different country. Well, not independent. I was going to live in my own apartment, but it's getting renovated, and now I need to live with my Hollywood BFF, Alexis.
Let's just say that Alexis and I met during my stay in America when I was eleven and saw her again when I was thirteen then fifteen. Mum sent me off to a summer camp and let's just say lots of things happened while I was there. And I mean, A LOT. I've met plenty of people at that camp. Apparently, I'm going to meet up with them. AND I DON'T WANT TO.
I snap back into reality, and everyone looks at me as though I spaced out. Oh crap, I did. "How was Dreamland? Did you get a new boyfriend while you were there?" Ella smirked. "Yeah, what was that like?" Kiarra chimed. They did this all the time. I would space out, and they'd wonder what was going through my head. They have the most atrocious thoughts. Although, what Ella had suggested was a more subtle idea.
I shake my head. "I'm thinking about my friend in America."
"It's a guy" Ella stage whispered to the group
Everyone began to laugh, and I rolled my eyes.
My phone started to ring. It was a number. It wasn't in my contacts, but I recognised it. "Hello? Who is this? Oh my god!"
