Anika and her father are having dinner when Mr Mehta [Mm] gets a call from his friend vivek khanna who asks anika's hand for marriage with his son Daksh khanna who had seen anika helping people in a flood relief camp and has developed lust and obsession for her
anika is reluctent and isn't aware about daksh's evil intensions and agrees for the marriage as it was to be held in the oberoi mansion because daksh is shivay best friend.
