Everything was slowly going back to normal for, Mali and Mark. They acted as if nothing happened and it was a relief. Both were scared endless for them not to end the way they did.
Luck has been on their side, and they're both thankful for that. Luna and Jungkook didn't mind them getting back together, because they liked the couple being together.
As they did earlier in their relationship, they were inseparable. Always by each others side's, and always smiling. It was a good sight, other than them being depressed and upset with the world.
It was a moment to cherish, and gloat about. They both got what they wanted, wait no, needed. And they were happy about it.
"I'm happy for you, Mali. You got him back, and that's great. 'Cause you were starting to worry me, with all your depressing moments." Luna was over at Mali's house and they were just chatting about the recent events in their lives.
"Thanks, I really hope my depressing behavior didn't mess with you, because God knows how sensitive you are." Mali said mockingly at Luna, and the latter glared at Mali.
"I want to know when and where you developed this savage attitude of yours, and when it'll stop." Luna deadpan stated and laughed at Mali's expression. "I don't have a savage attitude. You are the savage of the group. I'm surprised you settled down with a guy, you were always the one with a new guy every other week." Mali teased the latter.
"See! You are acting so savagely!" Luna exclaimed placing her hand infront of her mouth acting hurt. "And I did not, it was like every two weeks. Get your facts right. No guy could have me settle down, and take things serious. Jungkook did, and now I'm dating the fucker." Luna explained laughing.
"So kind." Mali chuckled. Luna punched Mali and laughed with her, "I know. I'm super sweet." Luna said sarcastically. The pair bellowed over laughing their asses off.
It's been a good amount of time since they've been able to have their girly talks. And it feels great to get everything out, instead of letting it fester up inside of them.
"At the party I was rejoiced with my friend Ren." Luna said with a soft voice.
Ren was a childhood friend who had to move to China with his family. They had a buisness over there and the heir had to be there for the buisness. He left without saying much to Luna, but he did promise her that they would meet again. He even promised to marry her when they were seven. But that childhood fantasy was put to rest during their teen years.
"Really?" Mali asked shocked. The day he left she found Luna at the park crying her eyes out. It broke Mali's heart, and she went to comfort her.
"He said I haven't changed and that I'm still the same old Luna. Mal, I really did miss him. But I couldn't help to notice he seemed off. Not himself, like he changed a lot." Luna tugged on her sweater. Mali sighed lightly.
"Time has passed, and people change. It's nothing new, Lu. Everyone changes during a period of time, whether that's physically or mentally. It may not be for the best, but it happens." Mali bit the inside of her mouth, afraid to say the wrong thing.
"I know, but it hurts. I always have known him a certain way, and seeing him act so different was an odd sight. I just wish that I could of been there to see what caused him to be like this." Luna bit her lip looking at Mali.
"He was my everything at one point. Then during seventh grade he left me, and didn't exactly do it in a good way. I was crushed, and then seeing him at the party killed me. He came up to me casually, and I couldn't act like nothing happened. Because in reality it did, and it hurt like a bitch." Luna staggered out.
After he left Luna like that she became her player self. She dated many, and it was just so she could numb the pain. Truth be told, it didn't. But ever since she started dating Jungkook, she felt a change. Her gloomy past, was soon over casted by her newly awaited future, with an amazing guy.
"I guess I should be thankful for him doing that to me," Luna stated. "I wouldn't of been able to figure myself out, and meet Jungkook." She smiled as she said his name.
"Everything happens for a reason, Luna." Mali said comforting her. "For better or worse, it happens to develop you and your future. It's a hard and confusing process, but you have to learn from those events and build up a greater future." Mali rubbed Luna's shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile.
"You really know how to say the right things at the right times, Park Mali." Luna grabbed Mali and pulled her in for a hug. "Thank you so much." Luna thanked her best friend.
"You're welcome, Luna. I care a lot for you, and I don't want you to be down in the dumps. I hate it when you frown." Mali said. "Why do you hate it when I frown?" Luna asked curiously.
"You look ugly." Mali said flatly.
Luna gasped at Mali's words and hit her shoulder. "I'm telling you, you're acting savagely!" Luna exclaimed. She felt her face and frowned even more. "I'm one hot ass bitch. I think you were looking in a mirror." Luna retorted.
Mali shook her head no. "I'm hot, you're not." Mali pointed at Luna and smiled. They always had these little fights, and joked around.
Luna grabbed a side pillow and aimed for Mali. "Take that back!" She yelled swinging the pillow. Mali grabbed one of her own and started swinging, too.
"Never! I'm a truther, I only speak of the truth!" Mali yelled in between giggles.
"Such a liar!" Luna said as the continued their pillow fight.
These small moments take up so much of Mali's heart. These are the moments she longed for the most. Quality time with the one's she loves.
°°°°°°
A/NI wish I had a friend like Mali. But to be completely honest, I am Mali. She's like the mother of their friend group, and I feel that I'm like that with my friends.
I really love this chapter and I don't know why. It was just so simple, but yet so eye opening. And it was so truthful. (Sorta lmao)
But everything Mali said about the past developing you for the future is so true, and I think I nailed that right on the nose. You can't hate what happened in the past without thinking about it developing you in to the person you are now.
I've done some regretful things and I hate them, don't get me wrong here. But I've learned to somewhat accept them and put them behind me and use them in the future. Also, to thank that experience for what I've learned from it. Good or bad, you should always think like that.
Anyways, I hope I didn't bore anyone and that you enjoyed this chapter. And possibly my advice. Thank you for reading my story!♡
