Act 1 Scene 2

Next day, at school.

Going through the hall, passing a lot of people we finally stop inside the school's gym; it's an empty room with old walls and dirty floor. Students are standing in four groups; however Max and Michael are placed alone, far away from each other. Max is currently sitting down, drawing something with her fingers on the floor. Michael observes her until one of the groups walks up to him.

Emma
One of the rude, fashion-girls.

Michael right?

Michael gives Emma a cold look, then noods.

Why do you look at that slut so often?

A small sample of the group laughs.

Can't you see that I'm much better?

Michael
Just as coldly as his look is.

First of all, I looked at her once in this class.

Emma

Yeah, but…

Michael
Cuts in, his voice is much louder now.

Second of all, it's non of your business!

Max slowly turns around to see what's happening.

Emma

Oh, come on. Why so serious?

Emma smiles and for a moment turns back to one of the girls from her group, she smiles back.
Again to Michael.

That slut is an outsider.

Whole group immediately laughs.

Michael
Calmly.

The only slut I'm able to see in this room, is you.

Emma stops smiling, looks at her group, suddenly all of them freeze waiting for Emma's reaction.

Emma

I'm gonna ignore it, only because you're new here.

Starts walking away with whole group following her, suddenly stopping. Glances at Michael.

But just to let you know, I'm gonna warn you. She is strange,
and if you will support her the rest of the school will see you as a psychopath, just the way
people see that slut.

Everyone continues walking leaving Michael alone again. As Michael looks behind him, he realizes that Max was listening to his conversation with Emma, however when their eyes cross together Max only noods once as if saying ”thank you”  and begins to draw again.

Michael's inner voice.

From Michael's perspective.

Overall, I don't even know her. I shouldn't say a word about her until I will know her better. I have no idea who she really is, yet I don't think that she is a slut. Her yesterday's behaviour could be caused by something I'm not aware of. Rush for example. Nobody should judge others. Unfortunately, I prejudiced everyone yesterday. I must become more aware of my mind.
