I've been convocated to help on the Afghanistan war, but for only six months. First, I didn't want to go and even thought about running away with my boyfriend, Louis. But I knew I wouldn't be okay knowing that I let my country down. I'm from Manchester, even though I was living in Doncaster with Lou, and I miss both cities so much. Not to mention Louis himself, my sister, mom and my stepfather, Robin. Gosh, I love and miss them so much.
Louis started sending me letters a few days ago, so I thought it would be good if I answered them. With that on mind, I started writing.
Afghanistan. October 12th, 2016.
Hello, Louis!
I know, I sounded I little bit happy by writing that "Hello, Louis!". Well, I am happy. I'm finally talking to you. Everything is okay here. Well, as far as possible. I wish I could hear your voice.
You know, sometimes, at night, we can hear the bombs exploding far away. It wakes me up every time, I'm still not used to that. Didn't got shot or anything. Thank God for that! I made some friends, and one of them is called Lewis. It's funny. Reminds me of you.
I want you to tell me the news from there. Just for me to feel like I'm home for some time. Even if there's nothing to tell, make something up. I wanna know everything.
Oh, and please come up with all good news you have. We kinda need that in here. Helps to sleep when we know you're okay and happy.
Gosh, I wish I was there with you.
All the love,
Harry. x
